The cute ALMA BB club!

Hi Ladies - for those of you who own the Alma BB and either Gucci Soho Disco or YSL Lou Camera Bag - which one do you use more? I find camera bags really handy, but they all seem to age really poorly and loose their shape quite quickly.
Do you use your Alma BB interchangeably with your camera bags?
I know LV has the Saintonge camera bag as well, but I want an all-black bag and already have another small black Empreinte bag from LV (Twinset/Twice). I'm thinking about an Alma BB in Epi noir.

I have an Alma BB and a Gucci Soho Disco, my friend has a YSL Lou Camera Bag. The YSL is bigger than the Soho Disco, for me it would be a little too big. I use my Soho Disco more than my Alma BB, even though I prefer the top handles on the Alma. But I happen to throw my Soho Disco inside a tote or a backpack quite often, which you cannot do with the Alma. Also, as much as I love my Alma, I still find it hangs funny when worn crossbody.
My Gucci Soho Disco is now 4 years old and it has aged gracefully, no scratches or scuffs, it has only become soft in a nice way, without losing its shape. I always stuff it when I store it. Hope this helps a little.

I have two Almas in BB size and one Gucci Soho Disco. They are both great classic bags but I prefer Alma more. For me it’s got a lot to do that I prefer structured bags and in my opinion Alma also feels to be a better made bag. With Alma I don’t always have to close the zipper and it still feels secure whereas Disco has to be closed properly every time (it may turn upside down and stuff may fall out.) I also like the fact that Alma’s strap is removable. You can’t remove the strap from the Disco. But please consider that Disco’s strap is adjustable and Alma’s isn’t.

Either way you’ll have a great looking bag of fantastic quality for many years to come.

Hi ladies. My SA just informed me that they may have one coming in next week and ask if I want to put it on reserve. I’ve never seen this design before and very little info even on tpf. Heard it’s limited edition. What are you thoughts pls? Should I pull the trigger? Does it look dated because of the Vernis? But online description says it’s metallic? It looks similar to the one in felicie. Thanks in advance

I absolutely love that bag. If you want to watch a you tube video on it go to “LVLuxDelight” or look her up on Instagram. I don’t see too many with it either. I think it’s stunning though.

It’s a beautiful bag! My SA got me one when it was first released but I ended up returning because the size just isn’t practical for me. It’s great if your wardrobe tends to be a lot of neutrals. The mono, epi, vernis combo is just even more striking in person.

It’s a beautiful bag! My SA got me one when it was first released but I ended up returning because the size just isn’t practical for me. It’s great if your wardrobe tends to be a lot of neutrals. The mono, epi, vernis combo is just even more striking in person.

Size wise it should be fine coz I also have a Alma bb in DE and luv it to bits. Just wish there are more tpfers here could share some reviews.

Read back through this thread, I believe there are a handful of people who has this bag. This was my most recent purchase and although I haven't been able to use it much due to health issue, I love it and expect it to be one of my staple pieces. I was a little worried it would be too dressy for my casual lifestyle and it's also my first vernis piece, but I plan on using it for work eventually so hopefully I'll be able to use it more often. I love the unique combination of vernis and monogram, although I'm not too fond of the strap it came with so I might switch it out with a mono strap from PM.

I don't have any photos of me wearing it unfortunately.

I have this bag since Sep 19 and think its super cute- but you have to give up some comfort/easy to use-feeling, at least in my opinion.
I always have to be mindful and pack it a certain kind of way (its really like a game of Tetris you have to win first before you can head out the door )

but the cuteness and classy look totally make up for that... I just deal!
this is what fits in together with my phone (i used for taking the photo)
I can not put my Rayban sunglass case on top, then its bulky and the zipper gets wonky and all that... I also cannot use a fullsize /medium site wallet- I use the chanel cardholder and Longchamp coin pouch
When you keep in mind that its a very structured bag you can only put so much in-
you will love it!

I love this bag. It's my favourite. I got mine last year for my birthday and it can hold quite a bit. When I use it for every day can comfortably carry the following: Mini Pouchette filled with random bits, full, but not overstuffed, my 4-ring key holder, a card holder as a wallet which is usually the porte carte zip (sadly discontinued), my car key fob, my phone (iPhone Xs Max, and my round coin purse.

I usually have a bit of room left over for a pair of sunglasses (not large, and not in a case).
