I don't mind the added weight, quite like it but I've thought about the scratching. I quite often carry mine open and I can hear how the lock clicks with the zipper. I love the sound but keep thinking that will they scratch each other? As oppose when it's zipped up the lock doesn't rub against the zippers so much.

Are there opened Alma carriers here that can tell me how the lock and zipper look after few years of rubbing against each other?

Thought I'd ask this clubhouse for some advise. I've been thinking of getting an Alma BB in Epi since last year. I kept holding out hoping LV would come out with new epi colors like the Citron, Blueberry or Fuschia (I missed out on all of them) but they haven't for awhile now. At this rate I feel like I won't ever get my alma bb in Epi if I keep waiting.

So settling with the standard colors they have now, I keep going back and forth between 3 Epi colors. Black, Rose Ballerine, Coquelicot. Whenever I'm at the boutique looking at something else, I can't make up my mind on the color so I just put it on the back burner. I start looking at the coquelicot and saying that's a fun red coolor but is it too orange red?. The Rose Ballerine is more muted and neutral but is it too pink and limited to spring/summer? Black is classic, but it'll end up just another black bag. lol torn torn torn

Go for the coquelicot. It’ll be a great pop of color for all year round. I think you can wear RB all year round too... it works well as a neutral. I’m assuming you’re not interested in going preloved for a color you really want?

I got my alma bb and did shorten the strap. I was charged about S$37.00 and waited 2-3 weeks.
From what I'm told (by my SA), shortening of strap does not require the part to be sent to Paris .

Thanks for the advice! I went with the Rose Ballerine after contemplating with the Coquelicot for what felt like half the day lol. Happy with my choice!

Great choice! I’m feeling the exact same way you did, I don’t need more black, I don’t like the orange tone and I would prefer something less baby pink.

But yours look gorgeous, maybe I should go check it out! Last time I looked I liked the blue plus the seasonal pink-red stripe one they had, but I’m so unsure...

Yea I would def recommend checking them out in person. I would’ve considered that indigo blue because in photos it looks really nice but it’s unavailable in Germany. The only boutique that had it was all the way in Köln so it wasn’t even an option for me. It would’ve extended my indecisiveness even more so maybe it’s a good thing lol
