I agree, the influencers and their strange pictures with the bag are a turn off. I have the khaki on order and now I don't know if I want it anymore.

I still love it but I'm at the stage where I'm not going to bother trying to get one. No LV in my current location and I've been jumping through hoops getting my last few "acquisitions". I'll just wait until I get somewhere with a store and even then, if there's no stock I'll probably get something else that catches my fancy on the day. If LV only want registered repeat customers at the same location then I don't fit the model and as much as I love my bags, there are more important things in my life LOL!

Made me not excited about it at ALL. For most people it might work for for me it backfired. Sounds like for you too.

I’m not someone who follows the trends at all. I saw the silver pm by chance in October and totally fell in love and since I don’t follow any influencers they can’t change my excitement. I’m super excited to get my bag. But I get where you’re coming from.

It feels like LV gave this bag to every single influencer on IG.

I think that’s their strategy now - worked with MPA’s

The strategy totally worked on me... it caught my eye after years of hiatus! I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise! And I now have one on her way...

But I will say - the strategy worked to bring to my attention the new bag style, not to influence me to want something I didn’t already want. For a while I had been dreaming of a LV black leather embossed bag that has ample storage (more than most of other options I have seen available these recent years), with a removable wider adjustable strap, zippered closure, strap attachment on the side as opposed to the top where a flap may be, AND a removable chain strap. It is honestly like LV somehow read my mind and created the Coussin! And if it wasn’t for their strategy with the influencers I would not have been able to see and jump right on it to get one. I just really hope it will be everything I had dreamt of!

You guys, I loved this bag on the runway and ordered it in January, first chance I got. But now that we are being inundated with the influencer thing, I find myself really almost hating it, not wanting to see it anymore. Thinking about cancelling altogether. Anyone else feel this way?

I agree actually. I mean even this thread.. prior to the influencers a week ago there were maybe 3 of us on this page talking about this bag since January with this thread being about 2 pages max.. now all of a sudden we are 11 pages deep and I can’t even keep up with who I was originally chatting with about the bag from the beginning! Not trying to say anything negative FYI I love that everyone loves the bag but the over-hypedness of it has turned me off... I was loving the inspiration I got from the runway show originally and now it feels like another tickle me Elmo doll that people just want because they can’t get find it anywhere... sigh potentially returning mine

I don’t have a scale but the chain strap does not feel as heavy as I originally thought.
I only suspect, the more items you carry in the bag, the more weight you will place on your shoulder thus resulting in the chain strap digging into your shoulder.

I will try to post photos carrying it as soon as I get a free moment.

yeah I am actually nervous about it. I have a few Chanel boy bags that are lamb and they scratch if you look at them wrong.

Still lamb is buttery soft and so lovely. It ages nicely (if you don't look at them wrong too much). I hope you both enjoy your beautiful bags!

I, like you, always buy what I like regardless of who has it, influencer or not. What’s unique about style is that it varies by individual and although many people may have the bag, many people will style it differently. The Coussin is a beautiful bag and I hope all who have it enjoy wearing it. Life is short, buy what you like, and wear what you like.
