Was Loewe listening to us? Did they hear that the Small Hammock was too big and the Mini Hammock was too small?

Behold the Compact Hammock! It is definitely on my wish list!

Thoughts? Reviews?

I love the size as I’m petite! But the satin leather is stiff and a no go for me.it’s now available in pebbled and classic calfskin in sand and pearl grey. They’re both lovely. but somehow, the hammock doesn’t look good on me. And it’s so open. I’m still sitting on it. Maybe the right color may come along one day.

Sometimes a color will tip me over the edge :P

Could someone kindly share their reviews or experiences with this bag? Pros and cons?
I was on the fence with this bag but have recently gotten smitten with the functionality of this bag. My main worry is that I do take the metro regularly and I'm worried about pickpockets because the hammock has a rather wide opening.

I had to go to the store and try out the compact hammock ! The size is perfect if you fall on the shorter side. (I am 1.54m for reference)

I'm still a little hesitant because when the wings are out, the bag is quite open and safety is a bit of an issue.

Do you prefer the wings out or tucked in?

Love it on you! The size looks indeed perfect! I have the regular hammock and I prefer the wings out, but I mostly wear it crossbody, so it is in its long form anyway (I like being hands free). I have it at my side front and I think it is ok being open. If I am worried depending on where I am with that bag, I put some scarf or similar on the top.

Wish I snapped more photos of the compact hammock! Was in Tokyo couple weeks ago and saw the compact hammock for their Japan's stores 50th year anniversary in this color and navy blue. My mind was so laser-focused onto the Ghibli collab that I forgot to take modshots, and a pic of the navy blue, which truly will be in my wishlist if they ever release it with leather strap! I don't really fancy the canvas strap but I think it's reversible (the other side was full-on anagram and Loewe branding, if I remember correctly)

That's what I was thinking too--a scarf on top or tying the handles together for a touch of color, more privacy and as a pickpocket deterrent.

I was also thinking of using the dustbag as a drawstring liner for all my things inside the bag.

I bought the compact in dark butter 2 days ago and so far I’m loving it!

I saw someone mentioned above that the proportions needed some getting used to but not for me because I feel like that long skinny look is the very reason why I never pulled the trigger throughout the years haha.

The size is very nice for daily use. It fits daily essentials, also an iPad mini if that’s your thing. I’m 172cm and this size suits my frame quite well with all the different ways that you can wear it.

Soft grained leather is the way to go imo. I feel like this compact size will wear better over time. I found that many of the smalls tend to deform in a few years but the compacts are shorter so I reckon it will also keep its shape for longer.

Regarding the security, when the sides are folded in and the hook is attached, I feel like this compact size does not leave that big of an opening. I am currently also using the dust bag as an organiser but is looking to buy a drawstring bag organiser to help with the security issue when worn open.
