I have been a fan of Bottega since Daniel Lee, and have two padded cassettes (kiwi and black), an Arco tote bag (ice cream), two chain pouches (clay and blue), and one mini jodie (white). I also have a few pairs of shoes, a jacket and a bathrobe.

I kind of moved away from Bottega after getting all those bags and then recently started noticing them again… and bought a small Andiamo bag in Agate Gray. I’ve been using the Andiamo every day since. What should my next bag be??

Sounds like a lovely and well rounded collection  Share a pic of your bags over in the collection thread, would love to see.

I voted for the teen jodie since you do not have any hobos yet, and they are such a great style ……a perfect addition imo…

I love this….

Ooof tough choice. I like both and have strongly considered both.

Before I was really into the teen Jodie but knowing my lifestyle and aesthetic, I probably wouldn't reach for it. I think it's so casually chic but that's what I'd love for my fantasy self, not my real self.

Now I would probably go for the Andiamo. It's more structured and goes more with my aesthetic.
One of the main things preventing me from pulling the trigger is that I have a BV roma bag, while different, has basically the same silhouette (not including the handles) and that's just too similar for me lol. :P

I have both and must say, practicality wise, the andiamo wins.
I love love the teen Jodie but it is more a bag I actually carry scrunched up as a pouch under the crook of my arm if that makes sense.

3) Andiamo East West - was kind of on my wishlist but its off (for now) after I tried it on in-store. This was somewhat of a disappointment because it is a beautiful bag and I was looking forward to potentially buying it. Here's a few reasons why it's off the wishlist:
- I never thought the single handle would bother me but it did. It leans slightly to one side and I confirmed with my SA that depending on where I put items and how much I put in, it can lean to one side. If it had 2 handles, both sides would be equally supported. It also felt weird with one handle. The weight felt off.
- The long strap is a bit stiff and quite long, and kind of takes up space if you were to put it inside the bag. It is doable, but my SA said most people carry the long strap with the top handle outside of the bag. I actually do this for my other bags, but for some reason, when I did it, it felt sloppy and unappealing, perhaps because of the length. (If I bought this bag, I would carry it top handle. not a fan of it crossbody or shoulder)
- The metal bow will never stay in the center and never stay in place. This is kind of a given based on the design. But again, this was something I never thought would bother me, but it did. ALSO, because it is a rope of leather that is looped between the two holes, it will actually sort of hang out and down. Therefore, it's not like the photo where the rope and metal bow are more flush to the bag and in a relatively straight line. It will hang and sag out a little. And this is far more noticeable in-person.
Long story short, I realized I like the bag a lot more when it has no strap and sits there perfectly like the photo:rolleyes: unrealistic, I know  . I do think the proportions of the east-west shape are nice though.

Just my thoughts/experience. Please let us know what you end up getting!

Edit: Add on, I honestly never thought of myself as a person who was particularly picky or fussy about bags. I don't baby them and treat them as they are. However, I guess the Andiamo East West really changed that up haha.

Update on my recent experience with the Andiamo east-west. It's not the same as the original andiamo but they share many similiarities. Now, between the jodie and andiamo, I would choose neither unfortunately.
