Niiiiceee. My engagement ring is 1.7 carat round. I only noticed the visual difference to a bigger round when it was 1.7->2.2 carats. Only +.5 carats was worth writing home about, and that difference gets bigger the higher your carat weight. When I was e-ring shopping, I noticed a 2 carat emerald looked as big as a 1.5 carat round. This means if you want the visual difference of a bigger diamond compared to your current one, I'd guess you need at least a 2.5 carat emerald ($$$). I'm glad you ended up with a 2.5 carat round because it's very ~wow!Hi guys,
In case anyone is interested in the outcome of this. Hubby ended up surprising me with a slightly bigger round. He knows rounds are my favourite! Here is the set I wear now. 2.5ct round solitaire on a 4 prong for a change.

I think your upgrade is beautiful! In my opinion you definitely need a new eternity to pair with it. That beauty needs at least a 1.5 to 2 carat eternity.Hi guys,
