So thanks to this forum, I've gotten on a halo kick lately. Especially after seeing Kohl_Mascara's Sola ring and talking with Contessa. I single handedly blame both of you for this halo love!!!!

I can't get it out of my head and I keep thinking how pretty my ring would look haloed. So......long story short, I'm going to reset my diamonds!! I brought the idea up with my DF and he just gave in...I think he realizes that it's just easier to give in to me! :D

So...I present to you my new setting!!! I just searched the interwebs and fell in love with it! I emailed my jeweler and he said that he will re-set my diamonds in this setting even though it isn't from him.

This will now lay to rest my wedding band search which has been hell and I get the ring I've dreamed of!! I :heart: the European shank on it!! I will be ordering a second wedding band to go on the other side of the engagement ring so it creates a sandwich!!

My original ring specs are: 18kt white gold. 1.10 ct F VVS1 center and .52 & .54ct F/G VVS1-2 side stones.

NEW SETTING!!!!!!! Specs are: 18kt white gold, 1.66 ct TDW. (2nd wedding band will add .60 ct in TDW) G, VS1 clarity.

I will DEFINITELY be posting reveal photos when it's done!! I have to wait about 2 weeks for the 2nd wedding band to be made and then another week for my jeweler to reset my diamonds! I'm so anxious already!!! :p

Hehe - I'll share the thread with you!! I know, I'm such a copycat, I'll admit it!!!

My DF is a dream!!! He just said I can't want an upgrade anytime soon!!
