+1 I agree that other brands make great quality bags too, but only Chanel make a Chanel bag; whereas it may be only you that knows the earrings are Tiffany. Which is totally fine if that's what you value, it's a lovely experience shopping there & if you're paying so much for an item, why not get the whole luxury experience.
I think someone else mentioned it too, in future do u see yourself upgrading from the 0.6tcw & wanting something bigger?
You'll probably get more use/wear out of the earrings and they'll probably last longer (Chanel bags are obv made to last, but diamonds will always outlast leather), but go with whichever make you feel happier.
Thanks so much for the input! I wouldn't want to upgrade later on bc I actually wanted to get the 0.6 ctw so that each earrings is 0.30 since I'm turning 30. And honestly, I don't really care for the experience even though I have a great SA. I actually prefer to get my stuff online but for this item, only stores carry it. I'm not one to prefer luxury brands when it comes to jewelry but I think the fact that this will be a set is what's making me stick with tiffanys. My SO and I have looked at engagement rings and I would never get it from tiffanys bc of the mark up...however, for this one I think I'm leaning towards going to tiffanys vs going to another jeweler bc of the set. But it's hard to swallow the price when I know I could get something bigger and maybe better quality elsewhere for the price.
I'd get the bag and then get earrings made by BGD with ideal cut stones for less money. No one will know they're not the Tiffany ones (Tiffany SAs always think mine are from there!) and you'll get AMAZING stones that will outshine the Tiffanys.
What does BGD stand for? I'm new to the whole fine jewelry world so I'm not very well versed. Thank you!
