Hi.....we have had several threads regarding the fit of the Swiss Legend ceramics, since I shared mine here. I have about a six inch wrist and had no problems with the bracelet. However, if you have a 5.5 inch wrist, for example, the bracelet might not close properly. (it works like a hinge). Ceramic is lightweight, so it is possible to wear a 40mm without really feeling it. Regarding the sizing, ceramic is tricky. It is very scratch resistant and strong, but like a diamond, it might chip or crack (you would have to really beat it with a hammer, but like you can break it). I have no problems and I have dropped mine on my wooden floor. I strong urge you to take it to a reputable jeweler. If you happen to break links, I think Swiss Legend will charge for those. (they normally send would send a free link or two, if you needed one. I have only had mine done with a jeweler, as my sizing tools are not the best. Hope this helps.
