Hi Everyone! I'm currently interested in purchasing my first watch! I really like a Swiss Legend Karamica Ceramic Watch. However, because it is not sold in stores, I am not sure if it will fit my wrist. I have a 5.50 inch wrist and I noticed that the website on http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Wa...mens-White-Ceramic-Watch/3302237/product.html says that it can be sized to fit 6.5 inch but since I'm smaller, does that mean it does not fit or can I take even more links out? Also, the thought having a 40mm watch may be overwhelming on my wrist. I have extremely tiny hands too!! My little cousin who is 12 years old has the same hand size as me :crybaby:so I'm not sure what to do..I really want a nice watch but just don't know what kind of options I have.

Thank you for your help!

Those prices are great. I have been keeping an eye on that watch on Amazon and its been higher than that for awhile now.

To answer your question I have tried it on at an outlet store that carried SL, and I found it big. That doesn't mean you can't get used to it, I am used to wearing a smaller watch. I don't know if it will fit your wrist however.

I just ordered this one, it comes in white:

gina2328 - that watch is absolutely stunning! i love it!!! thanks so much for the info. i love the one you got but its 40mm too!! please do show pics when u get it..id love to see how it looks on you! its such a fabulous deal too..congrats!

you have a TINY wrist! i wouldnt suggest going for that one as i think no matter wat it would be too big. Have you looked at technomarine? they make nice ceramic watches in a "lady" size that mite work better

p.s. i love ur pom :)

bagaholic85 - ive looked into technomarine and my goodness, the watches are gorgeous! unfortunately, the price range is a bit too high for me but if its worth it, id definitely would want to invest in one. truth be told, i really want a Chanel J12 but cannot justify paying over 3k for it so I want a watch that is reasonably priced and hopefully, slowly...lol work my way up to J12! Thanks for the compliment on my pom! Mushu says woof!! :p

I also really like Michele ceramic watches..but like technomarine, the prices are a bit too high for me (im looking for something under 1k). What do you ladies think about Michele and/or other watches? I wish there were more ceramic watches that came in a smaller size...Are ceramic watches made to be bigger than stainless steel watches? Is that suppose to be the "look" of ceramic watches - bigger and sportier than the stainless steel watches?

Many thanks! I'm so sorry for the trouble - I'm a newbie when it comes to jewelry and timepieces. :p

If you think you might like the size of the dial on you, you can have links taken out. I have this watch, in black and in white, the bracelet is sized for a man, but I just went to a local jewelers and had links removed to fit my wrist.

Oh, I just saw that they said it can only be fitted to 6.5, hmmm. I don't know what to say then. I like to wear my bracelets loose, just not loose enough to turn completely over.

Can you go to a store and try on somewatches that are 6.5 and see if they turn over>

Or perhasps you like them to fit tight. I guess I am of no help.

The brand has a website, why don't you find the phone number of the watch company and actually talk to someone and see what they have to say?

Wittnauer makes a beautiful slimmer watch. I tried this one at the Outlet mall and I really liked it. I believe it was around $ 500 last month, right now $ 352 on Amazon.

Thats a really great deal! I just got back from shopping yesterday and finally tried on some watches..I know nothing about watches and now I really realize that even a 33mm is large on me!! Thanks so much for sharing :smile1:

Hi....I am an owner of both a Technomarine and a Swiss Legend. I remember inquiring directly at Swiss Legend and I believe it can be sized to a 5.5 inch wrist. My wrist is slightly about 6 inches. The Karamica has a different kind of clasp-not a deployant. If your wrist is that small, I am not sure if it will close properly. I would email Alex at World of Watches and ask. It is a big look for a tiny wrist...I posted pix of the past with me wearing it on my wrist; you can search. Good luck.

kuriso,

I would love to know which watch you end up buying. My wrist is small also. I will let you know if I like the Amazon watch, the Oniss I bought, it has not arrived yet.

Thank you starbucksqueen for the information!

I just got a reply from Swiss Legend and this is what they said:

"Although it may be possible to remove enough links to fit a small size wrist, the clasp on the watch may be too big for your wrist. It is a long clasp and will be uncomfortable once the watch is sized down to a smaller size. "

Hey Gina!

I didn't buy any watch yet, lol. I really love your Oniss one and wish it came in a smaller size! Yesterday, I went to Nordstrom and I saw the most gorgeous Michele ceramic watch. It was white and did not have the "M I C H E L E" on the bezel. It was a small white (30mm, maybe?) ceramic, diamond bezel watch. Insanely gorgeous!! I didnt inquire about the price though..i knew the price would be too steep for me. I really like a smaller white ceramic watch under 1k..so difficult to find! Let me know when you get your new watches :) love to see some action pics!

Kuriso, You're welcome! Sorry about that. I do know some ladies with a 5.5 inch wrist who wear the watch, but one said that the clasp does not want to stay shut. Too bad, because the Karamica is great for the money. Technomarine also has some lovely ones being sold at World of Watches and they are not big. (World of Watches is a watch wholesaler. They obtain watches from stores that have gone of out of business, for example). I don't work for World at Watches. I know that it is possible to get deals on watches from WoW and that money is getting tighter for most of us, so I always try to share info. Good luck!
Starbucks
P.S. Invicta also had smaller ceramic watches of various shapes.

Hey I just bought the SL Karamica! Hi Starbucksqueen, thanks to you, I've finally taken the plunge of owning my first ceramic diamonds watch. I have small wrist too, even perhaps even smaller than yours. I had it sized down to fit my wrist and it's fine even though it may be a bit uncomfortable because like what SL had replied, the hidden clasp is quite big and it covered almost my entire back of my wrist but it's huge on my tiny wrist but I love it! I think I'm loving ceramic watches enough to eventually own a J12. Wish me luck!!
