Correct. I had a k32 evercolor and it held its shape beautifully and was scratch resistant. I much preferred the look of the smaller grain over togo but it never got slouchy. I rehomed it due to color but I would buy another evercolor bag in a heartbeat. Why Evercolor for larger bags? Is that because it's bit more structured than Swift?
Love your Birkin profile photoCorrect. I had a k32 evercolor and it held its shape beautifully and was scratch resistant. I much preferred the look of the smaller grain over togo but it never got slouchy. I rehomed it due to color but I would buy another evercolor bag in a heartbeat.
What changed for you overtime that you appreciate it now?
Absolutely gorgeousI had uploaded a photo onto another thread (Ode to Birkin 35) but here it is again!View attachment 4673946

I am looking for colours.I used to buy only Kelly's because I love structured bags, so by default I tend to be drawn to stiffer leathers like epsom and box. Then one day I've acquired a B25 in swift leather and to my surprise, it works really well for the style/size and it's so smooth and squishy. It's also more durable than I expected it to be. I also agree with the comments on swift picking up colors really well, so if you're looking for anything other than neutrals, swift will really bring out the unique colors of the bag.
Thanks for sharing that. I love the look and feel of Evercolor, but just on principle, I also prefer natural grain.I only have a B30 and a belt in swift and a calvi in Evercolor, no experience of veau Jonathan. I wouldn’t hesitate to get another B or K in swift. I love the soft smoochyness (is that a word?!) of it and it’s a lot more resilient than it looks. I’m pretty sure I’d pick swift over Jonathan as my understanding is Jonathan is more structured and I like a softer slouchier bag. Not sure if the Chèvre lining in a Jonathan bag helps it be more structured though. Evercolor feels lovely but I think it’s a pressed grain so probably wouldn’t pick that in a bag for me as I prefer a natural grain if possible.
I have a black 2002 bag in evergrain, which I think is the non-color version of evercolor. I have an SLG in evercolor, and my orange bag charm is made out of swift (or is it lambskin?). I'll upload a picture of the evergrain later when I get a chance.Do you currently have any Swift and Evercolor bags? Would love pics![]()
Would love to see a comparison pic of swift graphite vs Jonathan noir! Graphite is on my dream list.I have a b25 swift graphite phw, and was looking for the same in noir ghw. A Jonathan in the same specs presented itself and I jumped sight unseen as I was travelling and had to make a quick decision. At first I was thrown, it was so matt, but it had me at the second glance. The Chevre lining gives it just a little more structure and the leather is so smooth and deep or rich. I also have a vintage Kelly pochette in evercolour havana and love this also. I’d like a Kelly next In a small size and am loving epsom for a change. I am no help I am afraid, I love them all..!
