Blingaholics!!!!
I'm thinking about having my Blackberry curve crystalized...
i've found some interesting websites (poshlife-myblingring-lets crystal it) where i can order a faceplate or send in my cell... i just want to hear your testimonials before placing my order!!!
thanks :jrs:

Pics are welcome!!!!!!!!

Ehi ciao! Anche io sono italiana! Finalmente qualcuno! =) Ti posto alcune foto di samsung con swaroski di mia sorella e le mie cugine! I post u some pics of samsung cell with swaroski. They're my sister and my cousins'!

Here's mine. Overo 600 crystals cover

i ordered from posh life.. it fell apart.. and fast. and she charged me alot.

... and i have had others.. but if you are up for the maintenance. go for it.

you will be losing stones just about everyday.. and constantly have to glue them back. and its not chep.

Depending on the glue they use it can fall off. I did my iPod myself about 4 years (I know, it takes a lot of patience) and the stones haven't fallen off as much as I thought they would. Around the edges mainly. I've also did my sidekick and they didn't fall off too much. Ask them the glue they used, I used Hypocement and it's one of the strongest ones.

I used to own one for my Razor. After one fall on concrete, a few stones along the edges came off while others got displaced. I agree with one of the posters, it's high maintenance.

i was just looking at a bunch of faceplates on ebay theyre soo cute!

if you are going to do it i would recommend not sending in your phone and just getting a faceplate, then if you ever decide you dont want the crystals on it anymore it wouldnt be permanent.

i did mine myself and i never had a problem with crystals falling off. i mean i lost a few here and there but i drop my phone hard and often so compared to the wear and tear it's seen it's in VERY good condition. if they're well glued they're not going anywhere.

I've made several covers & have bought a couple already made on Ebay. Make sure if you get a premade one that they are real swarovski and not the plastic ones. They are more expensive, but you'll get alot more sparkle out of them. If you opt to do it yourself, try the ebay seller "blingityourself". I get my swarovskis from them, and have been very happy with their service. The 9ss flatbacks work well for faceplates, a good size without being too big or small. I just purchased some hot pink, peridot & black diamond ones from them, and am getting ready to do a new cover for my phone. My old one still looks fantastic, but I'm ready for something new! :p

I did my own phone....took about 6 nonstop hours but it turned out GREAT! I occasionally had to replace crystals but it held up pretty well overall. I would NEVER pay someone $300-$400 to do something I could do myself for around $50.

HuntJumpSC and Kristie: what glue did you use? Hypocement?

thanks for your help girls! you made me save $300!!! maybe i can get a little something at LV...:roflmfao:

i did this for my prada phone and am now thinking to do it for my new phone (moto krzr) as well. its not hard but takes patience. when i was buying my supplies the ppl there did not recommend hypocement. they said it dries too quickly to work with well. but i'm sure others like it cause its really strong i think. i myself used gemtac and it was good. for my phone i used it a few months and only one crystal fell which i easily replaced.

i would recommend getting supplies from firemountaingems.com, they have a ton of colours and sizes and great prices. depending on how much colours you want i'm sure you can get it done for under 40-30 bucks!
