Swagger: Worth paying FP?

If there is none in jax or in any stores and they weren't transferred to outlet.... it would be sold out

They are being held for SAS; I know because that's exactly what happened for some of the items last time. Things were not in the system, so people assumed these were sold out; a mad search for them began, and then bam the items pop up in the SAS. It's good not to buy in to the exclusivity idea for Coach...

I think that presale thing is only in person... I was addressing how it could be done online (right now they have the 25% off two or more bags, and soon they will have the F&F discount on whatever day that starts officially).

But for anyone that can go locally to a store, the presale is a good deal.

I think you can presale over the phone if you find one in-store and have it shipped to you when the actual sale starts. We used to presell for customers who were visiting and they had it shipped to their home. So I think maybe you could do that over the phone. We always had presale goals, so they should be willing to help you with it.

I think the 27's are okay in terms of this problem, but my 37 has a cracked corner, and I didn't wear it that often...so I wouldn't buy the Swaggers full-price. As far as I can see, the large has thinner edges, and since the body of the bag is bigger, it's easier to develop this issue. When I bought the first, the sealant cracked within one use, so I exchanged another one, and now the second is doing the exact same thing after being taken out less than 10 times. At least I did buy mine during the last PCE, otherwise I know I would be absolutely livid, as these bags are not cheap...

+1 agree 100%. I have experienced this personally with my Peach Rose Phoebe, which was supposedly "gone" forever, only to see this bag reappear everywhere during the SAS sale.
The same holds true for many other bags which miraculously come back! :amazed:

I look at the Swagger and wonder if its going to go the way of the Borough. Expensive material first followed by cheaper MFF versions and multiple appearances simultaneously on SAS and FOS like the Rhyder. Even the Dakota with feather fob ended up on FOS.

Personally, I'm holding out for the 75th anni collection where I wouldn't be surprised to see bags over $1000. Anyone know if Coach included a Swagger in the collection?

The only motivation to buy FP is if you find a particular color combo that really speaks to you.

Ditto! I have tracked the chalk colorblock 37 in my online cart, and one day all of them are gone! Before then, at least 20 was said to be available. And around September, the large embossed borough (style #32425, retail $1600) disappeared from the system, then came back months later on the SAS...

I agree with others here. Unless you absolutely, positively have to have a certain Swagger right now, I'd wait. I bought mine with a PCE and am really glad I did not pay full price.

You can get it at Lord and Taylor at 30% off right now $416.50! Plus free shipping and no tax if no L&T near you. Not sure how long the sale is going on for. No coupon, price adjusts in cart

Hey there, Coach forum! I haven't purchased a Coach bag in the better part of ten years, but some of the new designs have really caught my eye; particularly the Swagger. I am loving this combo in the color block pebble leather:

Of course, a lot has changed with Coach inside the last 10-15 years. I've noticed the proliferation of outlets, sales, and coupons. I'm certainly no snob, and I appreciate a good deal. But I'm considering purchasing this bag soon as I'd like to have it for the fall, and I'd absolutely hate to spend $600 on an item if the quality just isn't there. It would also sting a little bit to see it end up in an outlet 6 months later for 40% of the price.

So, to those who have purchased a Swagger - what are your feelings on the quality? Do you feel that it is worth the full-price tag?

Thanks in advance, everyone!
