Swagger vs. Rhyder

I think the regular might be too big for my frame. I'm 5'3" and 110 lbs.

So, I'm probably looking for 24" with light gold hardware, in either black or nude color.

yep, the 24 is mostly sold out -- you can find it on eBay and possibly during coach outlet online sales. Not sure what color has the gold hardware though. think black has the antique nickel hardware and think nude only came in the regular size. Good luck in your search.

Bummer, the 24 was just on sale almost everywhere in the last few weeks. So at the moment you have missed out on it at most retail sites. I do think it will resurface in some future sales from Coach however. I did buy one of mine from ebay a long time ago when the color I wanted was sold out. I had a good experience, and didn't have to pay too much, so as suggested above, check ebay--there are many great prices for this bag there.

I'd rather not buy any designer goods from eBay...too many fakes. Oh well, hopefully it'll turn up at TJMaxx or other discount stores.

What color and size are you looking for? Some dept stores still carry a few. Like I think the regular size in green and black are still available.

Pros of Ryder: Outside Pocket. versatile, light weight and practical.
Cons of Ryder: 1) Tiny handles - May not be comfortable if you are looking to use it as satchel.
2) JMO, the leather isn't all that great when compared to swagger

Pros of Swagger: looks Classy, high quality hardware and leather.
Cons of Swagger: 1)The price we pay for high quality leather and hardware is the weight of the bag.
2)The breakaway top zip drives me crazy.


if you are looking for a special occasion bag and do not need to carry a whole lot then I'd recommend Swagger.

if you are looking for a comfortable everyday bag with some personality, then definitely ryder. the NS style is my preference over the ES style. Hope that helps. please let us know what you decide. All the best!

I debated over the rhyder and swagger green today. Went with the Swagger!

My only problem with the rhyder is that I think its almost too slouchy, The chalk one that came out after the originals was definitely sturdier.

My smooth leather (larger style) is a bit too slouchy but I love it. The 24 in pebbled leather is more structured and does not slouch at all.
