Thanks, Jesssh. I need to look at it and think about it some more. I guess I had high expectations since people were raving about the craftsmanship of this bag. thx again.
I don't really trust pics. It's hard to take a straight-on pic. If the pieces measure evenly and you are just worried about how it sits, try taking all the stuffing out, taking the tags off (they weigh it down), fluff it up, zip it closed, sit it squarely on a hard surface and look at it periodically during the day.
If it is still not right, put some stuffing back in to try and make it square and look at it again multiple times.
My smaller bag looked best when I took off the leather/metal tags and chain, hid the paper tag, and placed the strap behind the bag or took it off. Any extra lines or detail can create an optical illusion. Simplify the bag as much as you can before making a decision. And don't forget to zip it up completely, because that aligns it.
I notice alignment more on smaller bags with lots of lines and lighter colors, than on the all-black larger bag which is much more forgiving perception-wise.
EDIT: To me, the pic looks like it may be bulging a little in the lower right front. That may have to do with the way it is stuffed. Take all the stuffing out and remove the heavy tags. Just unhook the tag clasp and pull the smaller end of the chain through the handle loop - it will come out easily. Put the bag on a solid surface so the feet can balance it evenly. In the pic, it looks like it is on a sofa.
Mine seems fine alignment-wise. There are a couple of leather dents and hardware marks, but nothing that wouldn't happen with a minor amount of use - that just takes the pressure off me, plus it was 30% off and handmade (I assume, to some extent anyway). Mine is as perfect as any other bag and I am picky but I forgive a few minor flaws, because who wants a computer-generated bag?
I'll try to take pics later. My only concern is is it too fancy?

Nah, only if I wear it with sweats. I'll have to take it out on the town!
