I have my original black 2006 city, a blue original men's besace flap messenger from 2006-2007 or so that I use every week still and I just bought a used velo on ebay. I sold the rest of my balenciagas when I moved to a new house. I am on the search for a few vintage holy grail Balenciaga bags to refresh my collection. I am not into the new Balenciaga stuff at all, and it looks like they are slowly killing off the Moto line. :confused1:

It's really sad to see what has happened to the brand.
Curious which holy grails are you looking for?

I would love a 2005 rouge theatre city in mint condition, a 2004 eggplant city, and a 2003 Caramel city. These are the real HG bags for me that I would buy at the right price immediately.

I also forgot to mention I have a 2008 black courier that I travel with all the time

Nice choices. I would love to find a dark caramel city one day!

Stopped by Nordstrom and also the coach store in Vancouver Canada. Specifically I was searching for a bum bag. Coach was my gateway drug (bag) 20 years ago and I then graduated to Balenciaga, Chloe, LV, Chanel. I have to say after an afternoon checking out the higher end brands, and comparing to coach, I may actually go back to coach. The softness of the leather, and price, I was so impressed. Most of the higher brands felt plasticky and didn’t seem better for the price range. It was exciting seeing the new styles.

I did end up buying an LV bumbag in empreinte but I am excited to see the new Coach horse and carriage mono. Probably my next purchase.

I’ve heard so much negativity about the quality of many of the high end designers declining as rapidly as their prices are increasing. Considering the price you’re paying for these products, the lack of quality is completely unacceptable. Don’t get me wrong, I love Chanel and Balenciaga, but there’s no way I’d buy a brand new bag from them, or from LV for that matter. If I wanted to purchase one of their bags, I’d buy vintage. I haven’t bought Coach since I lived in the USA in 2013. As far as I’m concerned, you cannot beat the quality of their leather goods, especially at the prices they’re sold for. I did hear some negativity about dwindling quality in the mid 2010’s, but it seems to me that the quality issues have been corrected.
