Stopped by Nordstrom and also the coach store in Vancouver Canada. Specifically I was searching for a bum bag. Coach was my gateway drug (bag) 20 years ago and I then graduated to Balenciaga, Chloe, LV, Chanel. I have to say after an afternoon checking out the higher end brands, and comparing to coach, I may actually go back to coach. The softness of the leather, and price, I was so impressed. Most of the higher brands felt plasticky and didn’t seem better for the price range. It was exciting seeing the new styles.

I did end up buying an LV bumbag in empreinte but I am excited to see the new Coach horse and carriage mono. Probably my next purchase.

The 1941 line has really great quality for the price. I’ve taken a liking to their RTW, shoes, belts and bags. To be honest for the price they make some of the best quality leather belts that I’ve seen. (1941 smooth leather reversible belts)

Sunspark- I remember you from the Balenciaga days! Glad to see you are still around. I too have enjoyed purchasing Coach bags the last 3 years. The quality is amazing for the price.

I came to this forum as a Balenciaga girl and moved to Coach when I moved to the Detroit area. I love the quality of the 1941 line and my Rogues are my favorite bags. (Besides my original 2006 rh black city bag of course )

The rogue is a gorgeous bag so I don’t blame you! So many colour and leather combinations to choose from! I don’t personally own one but I’ve bought one for my girlfriend so you could say I’m living vicariously through her.

For decades I neglected my early-90's leather Coach bags for "better" brands, but the leather never felt as nice as the glove-tanned Coach. So I cleaned up my old-school bags (thank you Rescue and Rehab thread) and am happily using them again.

I agree. Coaches durable leather just can’t be beat. The fact that there are so many “rehabbed” bags around speaks for itself. They always feel reliable & sensible to me.

I left Coach for other mid-range bags (MK, Donald J Pliner, Cole Haan, etc), and premier (D & G, Sonia Rykiel, Pucci, Fendi), when signature was everywhere (and the terrible fakes). While I loved the leather bags, I felt like the brand had become too popular and overrated. I went through quite a few black "everyday" bags (mid-range, the premier aren't everyday, they're special). None were as good as Coach. So in 2011, I went back, and paid full price for the first time ever, for a black leather Kristin Hippie (which I used for 7 years, then gave to my mom). Then I started buying (and selling) more, and more Coach, especially in the last 2 years. I now have 14 that I'm pretty sure I'm keeping. Including 2 signature: a Kaffe Fasset (one of my favorite bags ever), and an older black patchwork (2008).

I still have 20+ Balencaigas though... but only the early ones. 2002-2005.
I have my original black 2006 city, a blue original men's besace flap messenger from 2006-2007 or so that I use every week still and I just bought a used velo on ebay. I sold the rest of my balenciagas when I moved to a new house. I am on the search for a few vintage holy grail Balenciaga bags to refresh my collection. I am not into the new Balenciaga stuff at all, and it looks like they are slowly killing off the Moto line. :confused1:
