Hi everyone! I ordered a Pochette Métis in the giant monogram black/beige but I am kind of worried I may not like it in person. If that’s the case, I would like to exchange for something else. I’m kind of stumped— I would like that is able to be worn crossbody and is carefree (I don’t mind vachetta but would prefer to have little to none if possible). If you have real pictures of a LV bag you love, please feel free to post them, it’s very helpful.
I live about 2.5-3 hours away from the closest LV store so it’s not very practical for me to go try things on in person unfortunately.

Have you considered the Odeon PM or MM? It’s available in DE and Mono w/aged vachetta or treated black leather. Can be worn as crossbody/shoulder bag, the strap is removable and lots of people add a small strap to carry as a hobo bag or arm carry. Very versatile and care free as an everyday bag.

I was thinking of the Odeon as well. Does aged vachetta need to be babied as much?

I've heard conflicting things, some say it still needs to be protected from the rain but it doesn't need to be babied as much as the untreated vachetta. Personally, I bought the Odeon in black because I like the look better and I didn't want to have to worry about babying it.

I always go with classic monogram when in doubt. Just my personally opinion since it's timeless and easier to resell if you ever wanted to. I have odeon pm in mono and black. Loved it! Right size for everyday uses.

I have Odeon PM and change it to Boulogne. Somehow I feel like Boulogne can be casual and dressy with the chain. I love that Boulogne is not as deep as Odeon, easier to get things in and out, no vachetta (mine is black). And another plus point is the chain can be use for pouches. Boulogne is roomy enough for me, I can fit more stuff than my Metis.

I have tried it on in the store before. It’s not very big, and the actual space to put things in the main compartment is not enough to place my iPhone 11 Pro Max without squeezing it through. It looks cute on the body though. I could fit my Juliette wallet in and that fills up the bulk of the main compartment.

Ooof thanks for letting me know! I have an iPhone 12 which I think is a lot skinnier and shorter than a pro max but I would also carry my 6 key ring holder (car fob out) and a very thin, zipped card case. Probably still too small, do you think?

If your items are a shorter phone, 6 key ring holder and a thin zipped card case, then it should fit quite nicely in the main compartment of the ultility crossbody. The bag is really cute on the body! If these are the things you need only, it might work well for you.
I did fit my DE cles with my Juliette wallet but it was too fat. Juliette is about 3cm thick. That’s about all the space (depth wise) for the main compartment. I had space by the side and top when the Juliette wallet was inside the main compartment. I didn’t want to play Tetris in the bag so I opt out.
The measurements they state on the website applies except for the depth. So it’s 18 x 11 x 3-4cm for the main compartment.

Just to be sure, this is the bag you are talking about right?

The two sides do take up space inside the bag, so the “useable” space inside isn’t exactly 18cm but say 1cm off each sides so about 16cm. Depth wise is 3-4cm. Height wise should be the entire measurements described on the website.

Yes, that’s the one! Thanks for all the info, that’s actually super helpful. It can be nearly impossible to try stuff on in store due to being so far away from one. Even with the measurements, it’s sometimes hard for me to visualize how much it would fit in “real life” so hearing from someone who tried it on is great. I like the fact that it has those protectors on the side because I liked the Vanity PM but the opening/closing situation was terrible and now I know with the Utility Crossbody that if I had something loose in my bag, it couldn’t fall out the sides.

No worries. I was also considering that bag and saw many videos about it. It looked like it could hold a lot and I thought it might fit my lifestyle. So I went in store to try. I liked the fit on the body, super cute. It just can’t contain my huge ass wallet and phone. I did like the sides as it zips all around till the end of the side. You could easily access your stuff without having things fall out. I’m glad to offer a bit more info for you to have a better picture.
The other bag similar in size as utility crossbody but offers more space is petite Malle souple as the depth is wider. But it’s just one big compartment. The utility has the tiny cute pockets (which I have no idea what to use it for, AirPods?) on the outside.
