In Denmark EVERYONE has one.. I really dont get the appeal? I guess it's because I dont like backpacks and because I dont want to own a bag that 6 year olds wear
Im more of a cross body kind of girl - my weakness!

I use this leather bag from french connection right now for School ( use a lot of different bags) - also a very popular style for young adults in Denmark

I had an army green about thirty years ago as a school bag, they were very popular that time and now again.
I have been thinking getting one again.

I just purchased a mini kanken in black from Nordstroms today and its way smaller than my Marc Jacobs mini biker backpack. I transferred all my things from the MJ to the Mini kanken and guess what... it all fits! I carry around a good amount in my backpack so I was surprised. There was a bunch of loose thread on the back though so we'll see but so far so good !

My oldest starts preK this yr and I want to get her a backpack that will fit a binder in it. I read that the mini won't fit a folder but I'm afraid the classic might be too big. Can anyone confirm this? I really want to get her a rondaseru but I'm afraid of ordering one off eBay. I don't know if I'm paying $150 for something that sells for $50 in Japan. Thanks

I don't know if it's too late, but DD has been using it for almost 3 years now. It fits the A4-sized folder just fine. Very light weight and waterproof, too. She's in only year 2 so she's definitely not careful with it and it's still holding up just fine after all these years.
