Most of my diamond jewelleries are custom made and I just request them. The posts are a little thicker but and I feel that they are more secure. As others have mentioned, you can have the jeweller replace the backing into anything you want.

Sue - Check out body piercing jewelry. My wife has a couple of pairs of threaded studs, intended for a labret piercing, she wears in her lobes when she doesn't feel like anything fancy, like when we're traveling. They are straight with a CZ on one end and a flat 'plate' on the other. She sometimes wears them for months at a time. Since they thread on they are very secure. You can get many types with anything from a gold ball to a diamond on the front. Straight barbells can also work. Go to a body piercing salon and see what they have.

+1 on the piercing jewelry. A great brand is Anatometal http://www.bodyartforms.com/product...atometal&pagenumber=3&ProductID=9045&index=18

I have a pair of Chopard earrings with a "poussette" back (is that an official name?)
The post is thicker that most earrings, but I can wear them for months in a row without worry--not even while washing my hair.
It's somehow ironic to wear my most expensive pair without any concern.

I recently went through the custom earring process and my absolute must haves were:

1. Jumbo backs to avoid the earring drooping forward.
2. Earring must sit upright despite its size. Pet peeve is drooping earrings lol. - solution was Martini Studs so that the "v" sits nicely in the ear and is lower profile than a basket setting.
3. Thick posts (16 gauge instead of usual 20 or 22 gauge standard) to avoid the "cheese wire" effect.

If anyone is interested, I have had a lot of custom jewelry done by Ara of Princes Jewelers LA (https://www.etsy.com/shop/PrincessJewelersLA) and highly recommend him. His Etsy shop doesn't have many reviews yet as he is just starting an online presence but don't let that deter you.

Highly recommend Venus by Maria Tash. She has internally threaded earrings with an almost flat backing that is super comfortable and super secure. And they have so many different styles to choose from. Check them out when you get the chance. Their b&m store is located in nyc but they do have a website which you can order from.

I checked out their web site. Excellent! Looks like the threaded earrings with the flat back is what I'm looking for. Do you have earrings like this? Have you worn them for long periods of time? They certainly have lots of lovely styles.

I love your piercings so much. So pretty.

Thanks so much hon! I have debated taking them out over the years as I age... not sure when I will take them out - after so many years of having them since my young and rebellious teens, I am somewhat attached to them.

In my other ear I have my inner conch and helix pierced as well as the 3 lobe piercings. Also right nostril and tongue :p

I wear a Maria Tash Diamond Trinity in my second hole and I love it. I had been searching for the "perfect" second hole earring, and this is it. I wear the traditional, not the threaded, and it is completely comfortable, I haven't taken it off since I got it.

Customer service was great. I received it the next day (in NYC) and it was very easy to make a return when I needed to.

They have gorgeous nostril screws. It almost makes me want to get my nose pierced. :p

I wear a pair of their diamond studs in my second holes and keep them in 24/7. Have had them for 3 months now and they are very comfortable. Also have their traditional posts but don't find them as comfortable, although the traditional outs are easier to change out.

Same here haha. I had a few done during my teens and only retired one. I just keep adding more to the others, so far I have eight in my ears and then my navel and nostril as my ninth and tenth. It's such a cool way to accessorize and of course wear more jewelry hehe. :p

Omg.. I'm in love with the nose studs! Oddly enough, this is the same place that did all my piercings decades ago. I've always wanted a little 'real' diamond for my nose! I'm ordering
Thank you so much for the recommendation and posting !!

This is post is great timing because I've really been wanting to try something from this brand! [emoji4] Do you have a pic of your earrings? How is the diamond quality? Do you own any other pieces?
