Here's another Etsy seller from the US who sells calf leather straps with your choice of hardware -- and the hardware is large enough to fit Balenciaga O-rings

Here is the strap I purchased -- I wound up buying one thats too long for my needs (40x1), but I will be buying a shorter one
Definitely long enough for cross body use

And here is the seller's store -- they're in Michigan

I know its not a color match (I bought it for black Work), but this is the stap

Found a reasonably priced, calf leather strap with silver HW suitable for the "oldies (2003/04 bags)
If you have a Black First or City and want a longer strap, this might be an excellent option
The seller does have a limited selection of various colors as well -- the blue looks like it might actually be a good choice for Dark Turquoise!!

This is the exact strap I'm wearing in these photos (30" long by 1" wide/silver HW)

I also want to give a shout out to this Etsy seller who offers return and/or exchanges.
I had ordered a second trap from him before I realized this and he's gladly accepting a return of the strap that was too long for my needs!

So I made some minor changes to the straps I shared above.
These straps were all purchased on Etsy from MAUTTO ACCESSORIES

I decided to go with a slightly shorter strap for my 04 Black First.
This is a 25 inch black leather strap with 16XL silver hardware
The seller doesn’t offer a 25 inch strap, so I had to order a 30 in strap and request that she shorten it to 25 in

(Don’t mind my Saturday Sweats — its cold and its been an exhausting week so I need my comfort clothes today! )

The 25 in length with this hardware is only slightly longer than the original longer strap used for the early season Firsts like the Caribou and FBF

I’m using the original 30 in strap with silver hardware I purchased on the suede multi zip ring tote I purchased that didn’t come with a strap (and I don’t think ever did)
This strap actually came from the Etsy seller Feature Leather Goods

And while I went with the same straps in the same length for my Black Work as I showed above, I decided to go with different hardware. The dog leash (#19XL) hardware I originally chose was just a little too thick and made for a tight fit which didn’t allow for easy movement of the straps (and which I was worried would damage the leather over time). I purchased 2 new 30 in straps with #16XL hardware in brushed gold (the same HW used on the strap for my First). This connects to the bag much easier and allows for much easier movement of the straps up and down. It also makes the straps slightly shorter as the hardware is smaller.

I prefer the 2 straps connected like long handles over the diagonal (one front/one back) connection because I think it balances the bag better and puts less stress on the hardware and leather (lessening the risk of damage)

I’m actually really excited as this makes the Work a much more practical bag for me

I also discovered that Mautto Accessories has color swatches for the different straps she offers — some leather, some nylon, satin or canvas. I asked her to send me a color swatch of her Seafoam to see how closely it matches the 04 Seafoam in case I wanted to get a strap for my Weekender.

I think the color is very close. Its Satin, so it changes color depending on angles and lighting. The Satin strap would be adjustable. I’m just not sure yet.

Here’s a link to the color swatches in case anyone is looking for one in a specific color

And here is how the Seafoam looks compared to a Seafoam bag
