Hello,

I live in Monaco, but this is the only Hermes blog that seemed serious I could ask a question on, so I hope you guys will be able to help me!

For college graduation, a friend of my parents just gave me a Hermes Store Credit of 4 000 euros which is roughly 6, 500 dollars.

I have no idea what I should get.
I think that getting different little things (shoes, sunglasses, scraves...) would be a waste because I would want to have something I can keep for my whole life. But having a bag that expensive, isn't it a bit too much for my age ? But at the same time, I tell myself that this is a once in a lifetime opportunities because I don't know if I'll ever have enough money to buy myself a Hermes Bag.

If you think I should get a bag, which one should I get? I know I don't have enough for a Birkin, I've already asked.

But I don't know which other ones would be good and that's where you come in !!! If you could give me an advice on a "cheaper" bag and a wallet maybe ?! I dont know! But I would really like to make the best out of this generous gift!!!

Thank you!

What a wonderful gift, congratulations!

Lindy would be a nice choice, it's youthful and playful. The smaller size is 3250 euros and the bigger about 3400 e, so you'll probably be able to get a small wallet as well

Congratulations! That's a fantastic gift. Are you limited to the store credit amount? - meaning, do you have other savings or are you able to save up some more cash within a year or so? You might be able to purchase a smaller (28cm) retourne Kelly - if you think that's something that you'd like. I don't think age should be your concern, as long as you find something that you'll truly treasure.

Hermes does not make sunglasses :nogood:

Wow! You are fortunate to have that much credit to spend at Hermes! I vote for the classic kelly in a neutral color that will last forever and transcend fashion trends.

Or you could spend it all on a mountain of smaller orange boxes if you want to go for quantity. Either way, as long as you have a fun experience and get things that really make you happy, the gift will have been well spent.

Congratulations on your graduation. And what a wonderful gift! My first thought was also a Lindy - they are beautiful bags and would suit both someone your age and someone mine (um, let's just say I could be your mother and leave it at that!) I would get blue jean or a kicky color - I think you will get years and years of use from it. I am a collector of H scarves, so agree with the suggestion of a Lindy and a scarf - H classics and both something you will have for years and years. You can select a scarf that has some significance for the occasion, or simply one that you like. They are beautiful little pieces of art in themselves! Let us know what you decide!

Congratulations on your graduation. I have a similar opinion as others, a Lindy would be a great bag that has so much versatility. Go to the store to try the bag on. Hopefully you'll have a great choice of colour.

As far as I know, Hermes in Monaco have an extensive inventory and very very nice sales persons.

You should go there again and let them show you bags... they will be more than happy to do so, I am sure you will find some bag you DO love !

Good luck !!!
