Hello ladies (and maybe gentlemen!),
I recently bought the Stella McCartney Elyse platforms. I was searching for those for a long time and I finally got them. I love them sooo much, but.. there is one issue.
Every time I walk, the shoes make weird "fart" sound, if you know what I mean. It's kind of embarrassing and awkward when someone around hears those sounds. Does anyone have the same issue?
I got them in 39,5, it's my perfect size, and I feel that they fit also perfectly, just when I walk, my feet seem to slip out a tiny bit around the heel, even though the length is perfect.
I really love them and would like to wear them so much more often, but every time I remember that sound...

Haha! I have the same issue! I thought I was the only one ;)
It happens only with bare foot, but not if I wear (even thin) stockings.
So, I bought a pack of Keds tiny socks. They fit inside the shoe so you don't see them, and they kill the issue.
I hope this works for you too.

Thank you for a response!
I was wearing them with the super low socks (aka only toes and heel socks) and they seem to always slip down from the heel and apart from the "fart" sound, I also get horrible blisters! It seems that I don't have luck with these shoes, but I will definitely try to make them work - either with different socks or with heel silicone thingy. They just make my chubby legs so much longer and thinner, even though my height is probably about 6 feet while wearing them, haha. :)

My socks do have a gel silicone strap at the heel line (they tend to slip anyways every once in a while).

I agree they're not the most easy shoes but I love how versatile they are! And you're right, they really help any leg type ;)

I hope you can make it work!

Hello - for members that own the Britt shoe, do you find they fit true to size or did you size down? I tired the half size down and they rubbed against my big toe and when I tried my size, they felt a touch big but a real sock would probably resolve the issue. Do they stretch out over time with the vegan leather?

Would love your input!

Has anyone worn the Stella McCartney Elyse sneakers in the rain before? Are they the kind of shoes that you need to baby them? Also I'm normally a UK size 5, shall I go 4.5 or stick to size 5?

Based on my own experience with Elyse I would recommend going half a size down. I have nude ones with stars. I also tried the basic black one. I'm normally a 38 (UK 5) but went for a 37.5 (UK 4.5). Just know that the shape of this shoe is quite narrow so if you have wide feet they will be uncomfortable. I recently bought my second pair online in 37.5 again, will let you know if the fit is right for these ones too. I hope the sizing is the same across the different Elyse styles!

I didn't have any issues in the rain, the soles just gets dirty very quickly so be prepared to clean them a lot. The soles also wear out pretty quickly which is a shame. Does anyone know if the soles can be exchanged?

Hi, does anyone have the Elyse sandals or the emilie lace ups? Would love an opinion on stability (I don’t want to sprain my ankle like I did with a pair similar to the Elyse lace ups)…
