PMP, you seem so obsessed with image. What statement do `you` think you are making when you wear your gold & diamond rolex? You have mentioned nothing but what you own, you even had to tell us about a luxury pen.is it so important to you that you come across as rich and important? Why are you so worried about your image? Some people are penniless and it might be a good change for you to think about these people who have nothing. imo

I don't know if you're trolling for comments or just very insecure, but is there a reason you're so . . . well, seemingly insecure about how you appear to others? If you like what you have, just ENJOY THEM. Why are you so concerned about what every piece is saying? I understand the curiousity to a point, but the "statement" you're making on this forum is that very . . . needy.
Seriously. Every post this person makes is so desperate for attention and compliments it's rather sad.

LOL Some posters are being a bit harsh with you pmptrading, but you should really try to phrase your posts differently. You are coming off as an insecure person that needs constant validation. Maybe you should look deep into your life and see what areas are lacking. You sound in desperate need of reassurance. :( Sad but true.

^Agreed. It's not the posting of the pictures that bothers everyone constantly in all of pmptrading's threads. It's the words he (or she???) uses to go along with them. There are many people here, including me, that have made threads about new purchases, bag collections, etc without getting flamed to death the way pmptrading has been. Why is that? Because there is a humble way to go about things, and there is a braggard way to go about things.

^ ITA, missisa, if the OP actually has these things to begin with. Honestly, anyone can pull up a picture of a watch off the internet and claim it for themselves. I find that people who talk incessantly about money tend not to have it to begin with.

ITA. If you notice, pmtrading, people on this forum are delighted and complimentary to people when they post something they are HAPPY about - it doesn't matter if it is an under $200 Tiffany silver charm or a piece so elaborate and amazing that we couldn't begin to comprehend the wealth behind it. The whole idea is that each of us should buy the things we LOVE and not worry about how we appear to others. It is totally acceptable to wear an Hermes and a Timex if that's what you love! And it doesn't matter if your diamonds are .10 ct or 4 ct as long as you rock them. But if you are insecure and need the constant reinforcement of others, no designer bag or enormous rock will give you the confidence you lack inside.

It's difficult to generalize what statement your watches are making, I assume that you are not wearing more than one at a time?!? You have a great collection & all of them are lovely & different in their own way. I purchase & wear certain jewelry/watches because I like the style & craftmanship and not to "make a particular statement".

great post.:woohoo:

Sally, are you saying that you don't understand what I was trying to say? If you'd like, I'd be glad to rephrase it if it wasn't clear. Just let me know...

Barcreperie: I am replying to pmptrading Q "what statement am I making" with " I-am-rich..?!" answer...

What makes you think I need to be rephrased again...??:push:

Mea culpa, Sally_s. Since your post immediately followed mine in which I'd used the phrase "I am rich", I thought you were asking me what I meant by that. I apologize for the confusion on my part.

To be fair, I don't think this thread screams for attention.

I think it's a legitimate and quite interesing question to ask.

I would ask the same thing except that I couldn't think of it first and my watches are not like the ones being asked.

I was hoping to see some unusual watches though...the ones mentioned might be expensive, but I don't think they really do make a statement :)
