I got a plain pipe cut platinum band as a starter wedding ring, though my husband's plan is to upgrade my ring on our anniversary to a diamond ring.
We honeymooned in Europe, and we paid for our wedding by ourselves, plus we were moving across the country right after the honeymoon. So we decided to go with a temporary band for me to save some money.
As a starer band, I find it very nice. I would recommend something similar, and you can find them in white gold, silver, or titanium; not sure which metal you prefer![]()
That sounds like our plan too!! I'm moving to Paris to join my fiancé, and we are saving money so we can furnish our apartment, have a nice honeymoon, and fund part of our wedding. Basically, our budget for wedding jewelry has been drastically reduced since we have other things that are seemingly more important

I originally wanted a platinum milgrain band from Tiffany's, but the more research I am doing into wedding bands, yellow gold bands are starting to look really nice. They are classic, and I'm frankly getting tired of seeing platinum everywhere. I also kind of like rose gold, it's very pretty and very unique.
I was browsing on the Sundance Catalog website, and they have some really beautiful gold and diamond rings...there's one I really love and it's $590!!! But they don't have my size and they're discontinuing it
