The really sad part is that "average" people use ridiculous names or intentionally massacre spellings as well. My son's Kindergarten class has the highest concentration of idiotic names and misspellings I have ever seen compiled on a single list.
Celebrity kids might at least have the priviledge of private schools or tutors; many other children have no such protection. My standard for names was always, "Could I imagine a president with this name?" If I thought it sounded silly for a head of state, then it probably sounded silly for everyone else, too.

I feel bad for any kid - celebrity's or "regular" people - who has an oddly spelled name.
My last name is unusual and difficult to pronounce. Every year from elementary school through high school, I dreaded the first day of school, where each teacher would struggle over my surname, its pronounciation, its spelling, ask me about its origin, etc, while all of the other kids in my class would snicker. It was so embarrassing.
I simply cannot fathom why anyone would impose a name on a child that the child would be forced to spell, pronounce and explain for the rest of his/her life.
Or, will we see many kids changing their names legally to easier names once they reach 18??

Okay hearing Jessica Alba named her daughter Honor Marie, I thought it would entertaining to read all the wacko baby names celebrities are naming their children. May the craziness begin!!
Haha, I actually know three people named Apple IRL!! Ahahahaa! I thought it was like a Filipino thing until I saw Gwyneth name her daughter that!!
