I've also purchased a studded navy selma only to realize when I got home that the studs weren't attached straight along the sides! I definitely should have checked more thoroughly in the store but I'm shocked at the lack of quality control for MK. One stud was off by almost 0.5 cm. It was glaringly obvious when you actually look for it. Luckily I was able to exchange it.

I've found the kerning to be slightly off on many MK bags, especially between the A and E. It looks like they've gotten more sloppy from there. I tend to shy away from his bags with these logos as they drive my OCD sensibilities crazy.
No, you are not being picky at all! For the price you are paying, it better damn well that the words are in a straight line and also be of the same size. MK should not be slackng in this basic things. I am really sorry to say that with them not aligning their words properly, it may make the bag look like a replica. I apologise for saying that.
Thank you for starting this thread! I bought a yellow selma last year and switched it for another yellow selma because the stamp was off. Uneven spaces between the letters. The new one was worse and so I've been hiding her in a cabinet in my office for almost a year now, in fear that I was duped and bought a fake!!! So glad that someone else has had this problem with the selma. Great to know I'm not alone and relieved to know that even the selmas in store are similarly defected. Not a good thing, of course! But just so glad to know m not alone.
