Hi there! Do you know for sure that it's just the sealant? If it's the straps itself that are detaching, then I might consider proactively replacing the handles! TIAIt's the sealant that cracks not the actual strap, Ive beat mine to DEATH overloading it for overnight work trips with clothing, my laptop, toiletry bag etc and shoved it underneath the seat it front of me when flying and it's still my go to bag when I've a lot to pack and want an unstructured bag. I'll eventually replace the handles and have the corners reinforced but it's my most used Goyard and I'm so glad to have it and I bought another one just before the huge price increase.
I get the bag Friday so I'll post then!Is it possible for you to post a pic?
I am glad to hear that this is normal and I talked to another friend who said here is like this too. As long as the wrinkles don't lead to cracking within like a year I'm ok. It's not perfect but I hate the idea of waiting a month especially since this was a birthday gift! The wrinkle is sign of softening of the handles. It is perfectly normal. I see that in both my Saint Louis.
I do not think it has direct correlation with cracking. There are many discussion on the cracking issue of Saint Louis's handles. My advise (which Goyard SA will probably tell you) is not to twist the handles.
However, since you are so concerned about the wrinkle especially since it is brand new, can you return the bag and wait for the next shipment of your designed style to arrive?
Just to compare I have my bag for some years but not daily use. Here's one more View attachment 3464910
