Exactly Moon, thanks! From the moment Taupe Minerva arrived I thought "I must have this in Pebbled Black too!" so I am thrilled! And Marco's light gold hardware will be stunning with the pebbled black.

I am definitely interested in this brand and this style in particular 💕 btw what do you mean by 'hand made'??
is it like the Chanel/Dior type of 'hand made' or the Hermes type of 'hand made'?

Hi Mailai, this is what I know from reading and learning and seeing the pictures from the Massaccesi workshop. (You may enjoy reading Marco's story, I posted it on Page 1 of this thread.)


Everything starts with the finest leather, which is selected from the best tanneries in Italy. All the leather is then cut by hand in their atelier. It takes them about a day to two days to create one handbag. Each handbag order is especially made for the client that has ordered it. Custom bespokes are available. There is no modern assembly line machinery or mass production, only centuries old techniques for leatherworking. This is the tradition of his family, old school methods, which he had taken great pride in continuing.


I own 7 Chanel, but not Hermes. I can tell you that I have been incredibly impressed with not only the leathers, the lining, the hardware, the stitching, and the craftsmanship but the pride that goes into each handbag. It is sooooo apparent that keeping up the tradition of creating a fine leather beauty matter so very much not only to Marco Massaccesi, but to his small and wonderful team.


There are many links on page 1 of this thread, and also many pictures on his facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/massaccesi.handbags?ref=stream ) of the actual handheld tools they use as well as pictures of them hand cutting the leather etc. It is incredible to see those pictures and know the handbag is being made for you. Mailai I have ordered 3 of these bags. One I already received an Aphrodite in gray with black handles. I am waiting for another Aphrodite all purple and an orange Zhoe. These bags are made as Lovie said especially for you as they are hand made. I was able to ask them to add additional holes to the messenger strap as I am short and want to be able to make the strap fit for me. I love the fact I can send an email to the handbag designer and his customer service the lovely Valentina and make a request like that.

I would never go back to purchasing mass produced high end handbags again. I prefer custom made personalized bag made the old fashioned way by craftsman that use original leather making techniques.

I have owned some higher end bags not Hermes but Balenciaga, Chloe and my moms Chanel which she gave to me many years ago.

Massaccessi bags are really well made and the price point is amazing!!!

Oh Lovie!! I can't wait to see this in black. I have carried little miss Teal non stop since receiving her and I think black will be just gorgeous in this style! Are you sticking with grey lining and soft gold hardware?

Yes, I did get it with that beautiful Massaccesi grey lining........I love grey and black together and with the light soft gold hardware -------- tre chic, no?


There will be Bespokes and then I can get jiggy with my light blues, pinks and fuchsia, but for right now, I am all about the grey, love it!
