My favorite is the black for numerous reasons - over the years their black scarves usually have something I either cant or don’t want to wear, usually orange, or the colorway is too fluorescent. The last black scarf I attempted to purchase was in, I think, 2008 “Champignons” which in my mind will forever be the psychedelic mushroom scarf (Lift Profile is actually a very dark green). The only other black scarf I own is the Carnaval des Oiseaux which is a 140cm.

The accent colors on this colorway veer in two directions: neutrals (gray, tan, cream) and pastels (pink, blue, green). It’s easy enough to fold in a way that make one or the other set dominate when worn. Also, the details are easiest to see in this colorway - I never noticed this adorable little guy in the other colorways!

I love this black scarf but almost all of my silk 90's are black if they came in that color-way. I think when I first started collecting them in 20+ years ago I wore a lot more makeup and was terrified that I might get foundation or lipstick on one and that habit stuck. I tend to be more "colorful" with my shawls.

Weighing in from Team Marron here. I do adore the black, but I am OBSESSED with the way the varying shades on catch the light. And the Marron Glacé changes from chocolate to caramel to gold depending on the lighting. It’s just genius!

Spamming this thread again to show the versatility of the Story scarf. I specifically tried a knot where I could feature the peacock tail. In doing so, you can’t even see the base color of the scarf (in the case of mine, the base color is black). Pretty cool H magic. View attachment 5350068
Beautiful knot, does it have a name. I’m trying to get better about trying new knots out so I need practice.

I love this! This is the one cw of Becanes that tempted me! What scarves did you get from this season that went back?
Thank you! I think you and I are similar in liking/looking good in the creams and ivory’s. I returned 2 chants in blue and apricot. Light blue Carres volants. Volants wasnt wow for me but cute. I’m trying to only keep what makes my heart burst haha. I am sure I will get a chants and possibly one of the two I returned but wanted to get in boutique and try more cw’s on to see which is the keeper.
