Hello, I posted in the October purchases my new Speedy 20 Black Empreinte leather and being disappointed. The embossing is shallow and the leather is already slouchy. I would love to see everyone’s bags and embossing for comparison. Here’s a pic of mine and one I have on hold in Beverly Hills bouquet, does this one look better? Or should I try to find one that is deeper? Right! My OTG pm in empreinte has great embossing but the speedy has me worried that down the road it will soften and the embossing will fade. I love the leather but seeing older speedy‘s in empreinte leather the embossing looks bad.

Personally I prefer the one that is on hold for you at the store, the embossing is much better! I think the embossing will fade a little over time, so the deeper the embossing, less fading (my theory :smile: )
Are you able to go to the store in person and inspect the bag on hold and perhaps also compare to other bags?

I have pre-paid and ordered the same bag over a week ago, and am just waiting for it to arrive in store. I am a bit nervous since several people have had issues with shallow embossing on this bag...:hrmm: I will go as soon as it has arrived and hopefully be able to pick the best one...!

I ordered mine online and collected in store. The embossing is ok and no other issue except the zipper is not very smooth and I have to use both hands to open and close.
But it was an unpleasant experience that time cos the SA kept repeatedly ordering me to sign the paperwork before I could check the bag. I politely said I wanted to check it first and he just said in a loud tone of voice that this bag was mine already whether checking it or not. I felt that he was impatient to rid of me ASAP cos the bag was ordered online so wasted his precious time.

It’s looks good. I emphasize with you, when I contacted the SA in Beverly Hills I asked if it was okay to exchange. I’m concerned of the treatment I may receive when I get to the bouquet since I ordered it online.

Thanks…. You should be alright as long as if you have something else in mind to get as well while in boutique. I was back to the same boutique a week later to buy the crazy in lock trio earrings cos none available online but this time, a different SA was not that keen to serve since the value of the earrings were not that much. I am quite put off going to the boutique now!
