Special Order at FSH, fail or success?

I was there to accompany my DH for a bussiness trip. I actually found Nice very interesting and wanted to go and request DH to make a stopover at Paris. So, we can only spare Monday to visit H store as we are arriving Paris on Sat evening and leaving on Tue morning. The schedule is just too tight... sigh..Hope I can still get what I want.

Honestly I don't know. This will be my first time in France. I will be in London first, then Paris then I will head to Nice. Perhaps we will run into each other! Good luck and let me know how you successful your trip was. Have you thought about going to London? I believe it's a 2.5 hour train ride.

isadora: Actually, I fretted for awhile about whether I should call them to make sure it went through, and at about the 6 month mark I was gearing up to do so. I delayed long enough that I didn't need to, as I got the letter 7 months after order - MUCH sooner than I expected!

Thanks for ur reply, Wingnut! It was very helpful! I'm also starting to get a little nervous about the supposed order that I put through in end April. But I suppose I shall just be patient and wait it out! Thanks for sharing ur experience!

Congratz with your new birkin, i read it in another thread and it is stunning!!
Yesterday I rang the H store in Nice and they said they don't take birkin order, they can just put my name on wish list and call me if anything i want comes up. sigh..

It is me again wanna ask the same question as I am planning to go to Paris again later this year. HOwever, I can't go in Sept this year. Is there any chance to place SO in Nov? or I should just go in Jan?
I wanna order a Kelly 25. does it come only in SO? any chance I can get a Kelly 25 at shop?

I don't know anything about placing SO at FSH as I just place SOs with my local store. But in regards to a Kelly 25, generally they are available at store. The number of Kelly 25 a stores receives is highly dependent on what your SM orders. Perhaps because I live in Asia and the smaller bags are more popular here, I know my store always orders B25 and K25. I got mine without having to place a PO or SO.

Hello girls. Im in Paris now. Yesterday i walked in to Faubourg st Honore hermes and Rue de Sevres hermes they told me that they dont accept specual orders ;( im so sad. Please help((( the SAs didnt even explain why...just said no ;( what should i do now? No birkin or kelly for me ?;(((( please help anyone why have been to Paris recently. What info do you have about making SO in Paris. When ut will be open agan! Please please help ;( thank you.

would you mind telling me which part of Asia you are in? I am from Hong Kong. it is really hard to get a k or b in hong kong. would b or k only offer to regular customer like you or simply walk in?
I am hoping to go to paris while waitlist or SO is accepted, so if I couldn't get one right away I still got a chacne to order one. ofcus, have one in bi color and constrac stitching would be nice too.

I am also in Hong Kong. Unfortunately in HK you do need to play the game, be a regular customer and establish a relationship with a SA in order to get offered. But I think that really is the There's actually quite a lot of stuff that comes to HK but unfortunately majority of it are reserved for regular customers. To be offered a B or K as a walk-in, you would have to spend a lot of money first on buying RTW or house ware (basically anything non-leather), and then if you are lucky (i.e. SM is in store), then you could be offered a K. At the end of the day, it is the SM that decides whether or not to offer a client a B or K.

Yes, ALWAYS stick to the same SA. That's how you are going to build a relationship. As to which store, it's really up to you - whichever is more convenient to you. I think it's more important that you find a nice SA that you get along well with. I work with a specific SA who was transferred from one store to another so I just followed her. Good luck!
