I will be in paris in Sep and only have one day to hunt my bag at FSH.
I wanna know how difficult it is to place a SO successfully at FSH.
Please tell
1) Fail or Success
2) what was your order
3) when did you go
4) What time did you go
5) how long it takes to receive your SO

I believe they will starts taking SO from Sep (after their summer break). I am not sure if it would still depend on your SA to accept your SO or not.

I will go to Nice first then head to Paris. Does the H shop in Nice also take SO? I still thought SO can only be placed in FSH. What about in GeorgeV?

congrats wingnut!! can i ask you whether the SA will call u to update u about whether ur order is confirmed after u place it?
i'm just wondering if there is at all any chance tt u fill out the form, place the order, but it doesn't go thru', and they don't inform u?

eewawa: The only thing I can tell you about the purchase experience is that I was there for several hours, and had set aside 2 bangles, a kelly double-tour bracelet in barenia, a cardigan, and possibly a scarf to purchase, and was looking at clutches. I had to work with different SAs in different departments for all this. I got to the bag counter and it was packed 3-deep with people looking to buy Birkins, (as was I, but I didn't want to be obvious). I looked at a few Medor clutches, as I was in the market for an evening bag. After a while I decided to buy everything I had set aside, except for the clutches, and asked about Birkins. They didn't have any available so I asked about ordering one in Box. The SA said that would be an SO, and that it would be possible, so I went ahead and ordered it. And that was pretty much it. That was the first day I visited the store, too. I did go back the next day and discuss with the SA if I had ordered a good size (I had several 35s and wondered about getting a 30 instead), but she assured me it was the right one. Fast forward to 7 months later, and I received a registered letter informing me it was ready.

Sorry if that doesn't give you a key item you need to use to "get lucky" for lack of a better term. Perhaps it was because I was interested in many things, the brand as a whole, and not just on scoring a Birkin.

isadora: Actually, I fretted for awhile about whether I should call them to make sure it went through, and at about the 6 month mark I was gearing up to do so. I delayed long enough that I didn't need to, as I got the letter 7 months after order - MUCH sooner than I expected!

Honestly I don't know. This will be my first time in France. I will be in London first, then Paris then I will head to Nice. Perhaps we will run into each other! Good luck and let me know how you successful your trip was. Have you thought about going to London? I believe it's a 2.5 hour train ride.
