Did the Evelyne (33 or 40) as a crossbody messenger bag replacement for men ever catch on?

Never saw a single Evelyne in this thread, unlike many HACs, past months. Never saw this anywhere else, in fact. Have the male Hermes fans here not taken to the Evelyne?
I have both Evelyne GM (33) and Evelyne TPM (mini).
I use the 33 when I need a little extra space than kelly messenger pm or kelly 28 to bring extra stuff to work.
I used to use the mini quite a lot for quick outings, but recently seeing myself grabbing mini 2424, mini bolide, or mini kelly much more often.
Overall I think the evelyne in all sizes are great options for men.

I have the Evelyne 33 in Black/Palladium (boring, I know) but it is a great work bag and bag to carry on the weekend. I carry my laptop in it for work, which does cause some stretching of the bottom/corners but the bags are meant to be worn :)

Hi all, I've asked my SA for a Birkin 40 (not HAC). The impression I got from him is that it is super rare these days - they are producing less because there is not much demand for it.

Is that true at your stores and do you think I have better luck looking at resellers?

And if I go that route, what bag should I put in my wishlist instead? I thought I wanted a Kelly Depeches 25 but I realised I can't bear to part my $ for that. Perhaps a Kelly messenger or Kelly 25 for a family member?

I got the same impression when I asked to put a Birkin 40 on my wishlist. You can put the Birkin 35 on instead. The size is quite nice.

True for me in Singapore, hence the need for me to obtain it via SO, despite my store's multiple attempts to order the B40 at podium.

I thought about that as as option but am quite tall so it might look a tad small for me.

Unfortunately, I think they only offer SO to clients with years and years of relationships. I've only just started tho I've met prespend. My wish is to get anything in the brown family - ecorce, ebene, chocolate, etc

I would then encourage you to stick with it. SOs aren't only offered to those of us with long-standing purchase histories, I know this for a fact. My best advice would be:

1. Let your SA know of your firm desire for a B40
2. Continue learning about the leathers with your SA and enjoy the brand for its other offerings, within your means
3. Be patient, it will happen

Even though the B40 is rare, it is still being produced, and since there's unlikely to be a long line of people wanting it, it's easier for them to offer it to you when it does arrive. One of my friends in the US was recently shown one in black with PHW. If, after some time, your SA can confirm that there are none inflight, I would encourage you to shoot your shot and request a B40 via SO. If you have been genuine in your interest and relationship up to that point, I think most reasonable stores would happily allow you to personalise your B40. It's not like you're joining the throngs of people desperate for a mini kelly, if you know what I mean. They do try to make their customers happy, especially those with niche requests.

You may PM me if you wish to discuss in more detail.

Just want to share my recent purchase of a very not-popular mens bag called the Petit Courrier. I have been eying this for a long time, especially in Gold, but have never managed to get one or see it in-store in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul and Singapore. Have seen this available online in some Asian countries, US, and European website in Etoupe but I really wanted the Gold and on my trip to Italy, I finally saw it online and immediately bought it with the option of picking if up in-store from the Milan boutique.

Boy, I love how this bag looks, feels and works! It’s so practical for a guy and the size is perfect as a day or travel bag. Size wise, I’ll say its in-between the two Kelly messengers’ sizes and it definitely can fit alot! I was even able to put in a 700ml bottle of water in Italy! I am also surprised by how smooth the zip is! Its way more smoother to pull this zip than the interior zips on other bags.

Saw a few of these in Singapore last month. Congrats on the buy.
