The H slippery slope has been extra slippery as of late and I needed to slow down. I was completely at peace until I get a call from my SA about the Hermes Men’s Event. I knew it was happening, but I hadn’t planned on going. But…there was a BAG so I HAD to go. So yeah, my slow down turned into an acceleration. I was offered the Kelly Messenger(KM) PM in Toundra, which for some reason didn’t excite me as I thought it would. I also tried one in Beton, which was actually worse than the Toundra. It looked unrefined. I was already prepared to let it go and choose a QB instead until I was shown the KM PM in Fauve Barenia. When my SA opened the box, it sang to me and I immediately smelled it. I would have wanted a black but this was probably better. So now i’m crossing this off my 2024 Wishlist. Now it’s time to really slow down.

Congrats on your bag! 😍 Apparently the strap goes inside the buckle. That’s how my Sales Specialist styled it, according to the images online.

I have the PM in Fauve Barenia and love it as well. I was invited to the Men's event in March when I was in Dubai (one of my regular trips to Dubai happened to overlap with the event) and, like you, was offered the PM and it was an instant yes! (I have a few other mens bags in Barenea - that gold and Noir are my two "go-to" colors. Also, yet the end of the strap goes back under the buckle and you'll see that there is one strapholder loop sewn in right under the buckle to pull the extra strap through and then you use the extra moveable strap loop for any excess strap. Same system as the Sac A Depeches 21.

When I was first offered the SAD21 (at Hermes Madison) a few years ago, my SA thought it was defective as we tried to fasten the extra strap and it was only when he brought the issue to the attention of his manager, that he learned for the first time (along with me) that the extra strap fastens under the buckle and not on top

Enjoy - an awesome bag!

I have the larger size in BF leather and it’s my daily driver - I keep a bandana in the side pocket and it absorbs the smell very well :)

If you don’t mind.. I found an old pic of my k40, and also k40 next to b30, 35, 40

Wow, thanks so much for sharing those, I love the way the K40 “fits” you. I really really want to see a K35 or K40 in person so I can check out the size. I worry the K35 will look small, especially if they say it’s smaller than a B35

Do you plan to wear the boots often? While the veo looks very good it is not the most comfortable shoes so I wear it occasionally 🤣 but sure the style is classic and will last

They do looks great on you! I agree that the style is classic and will last for a long time. Do you happen to have close up photos of any potential creasing that can occur in certain areas? Thanks :)

There was a MTM event yesterday at madison. DH ordered a wool window pane coat, natural shoulder, slim fit, unlined but with finished seams (our preference, but you could also have silk scarf lining, 6800 USD) ; navy sports coat, unlined, (8500 USD); navy wool cardigan; and warm toned black pants. (I forgot to take pics, but he stuck to basic try on models). The cardigan was approved for either cashmere or wool, but not cashmere silk. And the pants were a plain version of his cargos from a prior season (no cargo or zip detail, but the same color and cotton fabric). The head tailor from FSH will be back in September. I got a back up of my men’s short sleeved hooded shirt. There are no more size 37s in the country, so they will cut down a 38 to 37 measurements for me. If any women are interested in men’s rtw, I wear a 36 women’s cargo pant and a 38 men’s khaki twill pant (leather trimmed pocket from last season ).

These are DH’s cargos (so the plain pants will be the same cut, without the details). He could also have ordered this seasons pants (second pic with contrast stitching on the pockets and back pocket, but decided that plain would be more versatile)

Both pants below Hermes. Loro Piana MTM denim shirt; charvet MtM cotton utility shirt; Duret matte alligator belt
