Considering a HAC 40. Would love to see photos and/or share experiences and opinions popular and unpopular, particularly regarding air travel with one!
I love my two HACs, especially my Togo leather one because of the suppleness of the leather (which gives the bag a softness, compared to my Evercolor and Feutre one which is very rigid and structured). My only problem with the HAC is that it is too big. It looks like a travel bag and I only keep a few things in it like my wallet, keys, and AirPods, so the bag is mostly empty. It takes up an entire seat at a restaurant and when that's not an option at a small table, I have to sit at the edge of my chair with the HAC sitting behind me. The advantage is that if I go shopping with it, then I can put my purchases in the bag. But the Togo version is already quite heavy when empty. The Feutre version is much lighter. I carried a Burberry trenchcoat in it once and it wasn't that heavy even with the coat in it.

I would not travel by air with mine. I witnessed a pair of shoes get scratched through the security conveyor belt, and I would be livid if it scratched any of my nice bags. If I take a road trip, then maybe I'll take a HAC, but never for plane rides.

Thank you. Are your HAC’s both 40cm?

Did anyone get a maxi Kelly 42? I was offered for it but the color is a little light for me, still thinking if I should take it. Size is perfect and it’s a very good size between my 50 and 35… Anyone already using it and could share some comment on it?
I was offered Bleu Nuit today but I’m thinking it might be too big for everyday use. For travel it’s great. Still waiting for Kelly Messenger

Card holders - 2 side pockets and 1 top pocket to hold cards - clever design. One is all gold. The other is black on the exterior and H orange on the interior. Each pocket would probably hold 1-3 cards - very compact SLG

Are you still enjoying the H Sellier card holders? How are they breaking in? The card holder seems very thick with all the folded leather pieces being used. Can you add a 4th card without adding too much bulk to the card holder? Can you slide 1/2 folded US notes in the slot without them sticking out?

I have the MC2 Euclide card holder. I really like it but want to get a different card holder. I carry 4 cards (DL, work ID badge, debit and cards and a few bills.

This is my HAC40 - I would defiantly call it a travel/tote bag more than an everyday bag - pretty big and heavy (IMHO) to carry daily. I also won’t bring it on a plane for fear of damage. I have an Bolide 45 that’s older and I don’t mind it getting a few scratches and use that for travel but the HAC is special occasions use bag for me.

H Sellier card holder is great - no problem with a 4th card or US bills folded. I took a 5 and folded it below and you can see it in the card holder as well as laid on top - plenty of room

Thanks! I prefer to fold bills in half, not in thirds or quarters, but don’t think that’s possible with this card holder. It is very compact though.

How is it breaking in so far?

Can you post pics of the card holder loaded with 4 cards and a few folded bills?

Very nice! Quick questions for you: did you special order the orange/yellow clochette; or is a "bag charm" accessory? Does your Bolide 45 have shoulder straps for travel, or do you carry by hand?

The multicolor bag with Caban and JAnne came that way. I’ve seen the same treatment in a hac a dos ok with the Caban leather outside Jaune (yellow) inside and the multicolor Clochette. It a special order but something sent to boutiques on a limited basis - I loved the color combo so bought it when offered.

the bolide does not have a strap - hand carry and when it gets heavy I can also shoulder carry it thigh it is not the most comfortable but the handles are big enough for me to do so when I get tired of hand carry

Very nice! Is that a back pocket add-on I see in the pics? :P
Also do you mind sharing pics of the inside? Seems like a wonderful color combo!

the inside is the same yellow. Looks better in person than the photos. Yes that is a back pocket I got from an Etsy seller in togo leather as Hermes does not make one as large.
