Wow, that is sooooo cool to see! Exhibits of rare jewelry for some reason intrigue me.

If I had the opportunity to watch the auctions, I'd totally take it. For some reason, I think it would be absolutely fascinating to watch.

They auctions are exciting, particularly when you know the provenance of the items up for bid.:smile1:

You can also attend the presale exhibitions which are almost always open to the public.:smile1:

^^Thanks, my darling, for remembering! Coming along...will look like new after all this!
Still can't believe someone would not take care of an expensive home. I bought a little LV bag to calm my nerves...:graucho:
But, had I not been out thousands for repairs, could have bought the Kelly I wanted!!!

If the necklace was $3.5M and the ring was $3.1M, the diamond on that ring must be SUPER special.

Yes, according to the catalogue notes -

Accompanied by GIA report no. 1112127533 stating Fancy Intense Pinkish Orange, Natural Color, Internally Flawless.

Together with a letter from the GIA stating that the 7.67 carat cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut is the largest Fancy Intense Pinkish Orange diamond graded by the GIA to date and is type IIa.
