I just received mine yesterday. Well-made but way too small for me. The length is adequate but it’s very narrow. I could fit a phone and a few small items but that’s about it. Not heavy because you can’t put much in it!
Ooh I see! I don’t carry too much so I think the medium should work for me. Are you going to exchange it for the large size? What color did you get? I’m torn between the taupe and cream apricot.
I ordered one the other day; almost bought the medium, but with the dimensions I ended up going with large in Taupe. I was torn between the same two colors, figured that Taupe would hide potential color transfer/wear better.
I have the medium song bag in cream apricot (looks very much like a medium taupe color). I just weighed it, with the little pouch it comes with, is about 1 pound 8 oz. The leather seems pretty durable, has a matte finish to it, slightly stiff but still pliable. I have only used it a few times but thinking about selling it. I bought to scratch an itch I had for the Picotin 18, and while I love that it has a strap, it’s a little too open for me even with it “closed.” It holds a decent amount in my opinion though.
Do you have the new or original version? I wonder if you can close up the bag more with the original version since it’s a drawstring pull type closure versus a clasp closure on the new version.

I have the original version. Yes, I do believe since you can tighten the strap, it probably does close up more than the new version.
I see, and you still think it’s too open with the strap tightened all the way? That would concern me too. Do you have a picture of the bag with the strap tightened? I’m curious how big the opening is.
I had been using just the strap to close the bag (which is probably why it felt so open to me) because I thought it looked better that way vs looking more square/boxy if I had also used the magnetic closure on the opposite sides.
Returned it. Thought the large would look too big on my 5’4” frame. Got the caramel colored one. Not as pretty as I expected.
Thanks for sharing the pics! I agree it does look cute when you use only the strap to close it but it is pretty open.
Received my large one today, I'm very happy with it. It seems well made; the box was heavy which worried me, but come to find that the bag was just packed very well. Inside another box, fully wrapped and stuffed to keep shape. I don't think I personally would go smaller, this one "shrinks" down to a nice size/shape when using both closures, while still being spacious enough for what I carry day to day. Comfortable shoulder carry on the shortest strap setting.

Thank you! I went with Taupe, less worry for me than the apricot color. In case anyone was curious, a couple pics. I have it packed with umbrella, sunglasses, wallet, keys, pouch, phone, and I could have easily added some other small things. Color in pics is off, first one is somewhat closer than the others.
Do you feel like your stuff will going flying out when its's the passenger car seat and you slam on the brakes while driving.
Or does it seem easy for stuff to fall out. I hesitate because of the closure. They have improved on the current version.
