Love the necklace, not too crazy about the earrings. Them smacking me against my neck all day would drive me crazy.

I think every lady on this thread is saying the same thing as this! This is very worrying, LOL but at least the style is not too young :sweatdrop:. The smacking does happen but it sort of keep you prim and proper, LOL because if you turn your head too fast, it actually flies up and leave a mark on your face !

Every lady seems to like the necklace. I do as well but I don't want one because it is not 'dramatic.' I mean I want something from this line for wearing to casual meet ups at people's home or even walking on the street. Being the attention seeker that I am, I hope for the earrings to be a conversation starter, LOL. I also feel that the necklace is a bit too 'classic' but at the same time if you team it up with the earrings, the complete set would be way too much. The other reason I am not into the necklace is because I think I have appropriate enough necklaces for other type of gatherings.

So can I change the question into this: let's say you invited me to your small dinner party and I turn up only with this pair of earrings as my only bit of jewellery, what would you think? No holding back the criticism please!

I think the earrings are too long for me personally...given the size of my neck they would probably be hanging around near my nipples, LOL.

Babies (even baby Bees) love long dangly shiny objects and I stopped wearing earrings after son yanked one of my earrings when I was dressed up for some occasion and he wanted a hug.

I would be too busy watching your earrings fly around and not pay any attention to your very interesting coversation

I really like long, dangly earrings so I'm biased. That being said, the earrings looked a lot better on MB than in the sketch. I think it'll be stunning with an updo. I would get it if I were you.

here here! also, like oregonfanlisa said, they look really heavy. you wouldn't want to stretch out your lobes too much.

edited after seeing your new question: they would be very striking with a simple outfit....but in the end i agree with merika: they would be distracting as well.

(i guess original thoughts aren't on the menu for today :smile1:)

Yeah, I agree. If they could be shortened just a wee bit, I think they would be outstandingly fantastic with a simple outfit.

Thank you every lady for your opinions. I have decided after a long and hard think (i.e. 5 seconds :p) that I have to have it - just the earrings, of course. I have already put my name down for it with the relevant deposit and I have been promised that I will have in about 30-40 days time. I also got given this huge book but I'm not sure what to do with it because it is way too heavy to be a coffee table book . Shame that it is not the volume on jewellery because they have run out but I have been promised one when I get the earrings. Since I think the earrings would not be too divisive, I'll post a pic of it when I get it!

Disclaimer: I really do hope that I get it next month. The last time I have been promised something from a Richemont company (i.e. Van Cleef & Arpels Lady Arpels Centenaire; I had to wait for the whole year and I still don't have it - OK I had it for about two minutes until the shop man realised that the enamel dial was flawed so I have to wait for another 3 months!).

That was almost a deal breaker, LOL.

I like the necklace, but I find the earrings too long. I don't think this style is not proper for a 30 year old woman. Monica Belucci is in her late 30s or early 40s and she was the one who designed it.
