Thank you so much for all of your input and advice.
It was a very hard decision.....!!! But I ended up buying the n/s Hamilton tote in soft leather with gold hardware in the luggage color. It's beautiful!!
I like the saffiano leathers very much, too...and see a new addiction coming on (oh, dear). I loved the navy w/gold hw, too, but I've really never bought much (or anything?) in navy, so I held off on it. I have no idea what it is about the color -- I love it, I think it looks gorgeous, yet I hardly ever buy it. Weird.
I was looking at the dark denim with the leather and studded trim, too....but worried it might look too "trendy" over time...not to mention that my husband said he hated it when he saw it in Macy's last week (not that I've ever let that hold me back, but...)....
At long last, I decided that for an all leather bag ON SALE (it was $250 plus tax), well, I just couldn't pass that up. I don't own a single bag in this beautiful color, and I'm very happy with it. It's classic and chic! And while I love saffiano, I really love the soft leather. I don't mind that it's not as structured -- in fact, I kind of like that about it. I bought the stain and rain repellent, too, sprayed the bag when I got home, and it was good to go this morning.
It's funny, because at first I gravitated towards the smaller e/w size and was sure I'd end up with that one. I've started minimizing (a bit) more with what I lug around, but I just loved the shape of the larger n/s Hamilton.
I'm attaching a pic and I have no idea how it will turn out, because my school just downloaded the new Windows 7 on my computer, which makes resizing things a royal pain/complete mystery to me.
I wanted to thank you all again for your help! I see a saffiano MKors in my future
... and I made the SA promise to tell me when that gorgeous medium-sized silver metallic Fullon satchel comes in. I love metallics and I NEED that bag.
