Those little fold-up umbrellas don't work in this city, they will break in about 30 seconds once the wind hits in. Even the normal stick umbrellas break after a while and we have to keep replacing them. Nope, a good rain trench is the way to go here, and the bags either have to tough it out or they need their own carrier.

I'd recommend the xtra solide fold-up umbrellas by Isotoner, it's a French brand that advertises its sturdiness against strong winds. Mine held up well (I have it for 3 years now) and I don't think I'd even want to be outside if there are 80km/h wind speeds (that's what Isotoner says the umbrellas can hold up to lol)
