I agree that is strange. It irritates me when women say "my husband let me" or "said I can have" like the decision is all his.
This type of relationship is not for me

I wouldn't call my relationship like that, but if its more than a couple hundred dollars I do confer with him usually. I paid for my e-ring setting and my band redo on my own in installments really. That way it was a smaller purchase at a time. He's never told me "no" or "you can't". He has said "can you hold off a few more weeks, I don't want to cream the savings" or whatever.

OP- I like your husband so much already...because he sounds very similar to mine. I think you should choose whatever your heart desires. As I am currently dealing with a new puppy (and a new husband -we have only been married 2 months) I would pick the love bracelet. The puppy is darling but so much work...so much work that is pushing my timeline for kids back way farther than I had anticipated.
