Dakotahs and only the upper end Rhyders are my favs. I thought I would love the Rhyder 24, and I like some of the colors but not impressed with the flimsy leather on those or the others. The Rhyders kind of have a B-bag feel to me, so I would like to make one work for me somehow at some point. I also thought I would like the shearling and python Rhyders, and they were nice enough, but I wasn't overly impressed, especially for the prices. I'll stick to my RK bags for that. The Tatum bags are nice too, but some of them like the Workwear are way too large for me on a regular basis, and I have too many other large totes I don't use now to justify buying others. I also like the Crosby bags, but it's just another Celine rip off like MK has been doing. The only bags I really don't like at all are the Taxi Totes and Edie (can't stand the logo plate on the regular ones, and the studded version is ok but don't really like the shape or something overall about it), and I was also never a Phoebe fan either. I had fun trying a lot of them on- some of them are really, really nice, but I do feel a lot are large for what I carry now. Since I have a ton of large bags going years back, I probably won't buy too much in the retail stores other than Dakotahs because of this and the prices. At this point, I will spend $800-1k on another brand most likely. Maybe during another dept store sale event if something comes down in the price range I'm comfortable with.

I like the small Dakota, only now that I've seen reveals here ! But it's too expensive for me...need to get it at 50%. I would like to get the blue...not a black bag person! I still really like my Warm Grey Bprough ...some people say Boroughs are too dressy, but I like wearing a bag like that with jeans and casual clothes, I think it gives it a cool look! JMO

Perhaps the ONLY positive about being too busy and too lazy to chase down bargains is that the prices don't seem so off from what I was use to paying. LOL. I would much prefer going to my FP store than braving our closest outlet which requires an extra 30 minutes minimum to find a parking space.

Me too, and I HATED the initial fall runway stuff!! Then again, I grew up in the mountains and it just reminded me of the gun racks and pickup trucks that defined my youth. I have moved beyond flannel and don't plan on going back. LOL!!! Love my home town, but if I never see red and black check again, I'll be okay. Guess it is a novelty for "city folk" and "flatlanders" as we called them.
Okay...I think I have convinced DH to take a road trip so I may see the small Dakota. If I love the Dakota, these are my options:exchange gunmetal ryder and teal Kelsey for Dakota and hangtags wristlet or keep kelsey(love the color) and get a Crosby....what do you ladies think? My mind just keeps going back and forth. I gave a causal lifestyle but want something to work with jeans or dressed up....
What don't you like about gunmetal Rhyder? I don't know if I would keep Kelsey if it is just for the color. There are other things coming out in teal. The taxi tote looks gorgeous. Personally I would pick Dakotah over Crosby but that is partly because I prefer a shoulder bag to a tote. I also think the Dakotah is a more original style than Crosby. I think you have to wait until you see them and see which one calls to you.

Go with what you love. I know that it's a tough choice -- the colors, styles, textures -- it's all overwhelming. But go with your gut feeling. If you're set on the teal color, what about a teal Crosby? IMHO I like the Crosby a bit more than the Kelsey, but it's a very personal thing. I don't think that the Dakota is worth that much money, personally....although the leather IS gorgeous. It's tough, I agree!

IMHO I'd go for the Dakotah & hangtag wristlet. The leather on the Dakotah is fabulous & the styling is fresh. It's something new & different, &, while it's not THE reason to buy a fairly expensive bag, don't forget about the elusive feather fob. The hangtag wristlet is so unique as well. While the other bags are lovely I don't think they have the same 'wow' factor.

Well got DH to go yesterday and I let others persuade me-I got the real Crosby (beautiful) but sadly, I just don't think she is me!! I tried her on last night, but today at home I just don't think u am feeling it. Trying again in a couple of days-meanwhile I keep thinking about Dakota-which I love!! Which one?? We will see!!
