I would definitely wear these everyday!

Great! I am warming up to the idea - they seemed SO much at first compared to my normal 1.20tcw studs but now I'm getting a bit more used to them! Somehow more everyday wearable than the frivoles for me.

It is so undeniably elegant....

Ooooh thank you! I always saw them on my gorgeous SA at Tiffany's who's like a real life Marion Cotillard - just so elegant. She didn't wear much, modest e-ring, gorgeous 5 stone medium sized anniversary band, and these earrings - elegant was the word that always came to mind!

Beautiful :faint:

Thank you!!! ;)

AHHHHHHHH they look GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!! I'm so jealous! Beautiful and elegant come to mind when viewing your pictures!! If you have any advice on how to buy these estate please do share! Congrats again!

I got them on ebay from a very reliable/trusted seller... they've been around forever. I spoke to him a couple of times to negotiate a price and then made a deal. You have to choose your seller's carefully of course, but you can tell who the real ones are ... there are tons of legitimate jewellery stores out there and sellers who are using ebay as another way of reaching customers and I got lucky to find these!!

In this case he said he has a VERY wealthy client in California who he thinks came into a massive inheritance and she literally "gets bored" with her jewellery every few years and brings it to him to sell. She doesn't even push him for more when he suggests a price, just takes it! Must be nice!! Oh well, her loss is my gain! :)

OMG Jen, I think you need this seller to let you know when his client comes in next - you can get first dibbs! :D

LOL Right??! She sold him a custom east west oval yellow diamond from Tiffany's too, he has it up for auction now... apparently it's not enough that it's Tiffany's, she custom orders small changes and still gets bored! My earrings are actually 2.0 carats instead of 1.84... apparently she likes round numbers. More for me! ha!

I'll definitely follow his auctions...

Oooh, that yellow diamond sounds good, but exxy I'm sure! :wtf:

ps seller is diamonddr16 if anyone's interested! I'd been cruising his auctions before without knowing it - he has some nice VCA for sale, a chalcedony bracelet I've been stalking for example!

HAHA! I mean honestly... unless you have the money, why buy something like this new from Tiffany's? Given that you can find an honest ebay seller (you have to do your research) and are willing to get it appraised etc, and know your fakes from your real items... it's SO much better to get them "vintage"! The price difference is usually at least 40% off. 50 if you are buying from the original buyer... a bit less if there is a "middle man" like a jewellery shop. There are some things that are hard to come by, like the perfect diamond ring or perfect yellow pear necklace, and because they are all different stats wise it's better to see in person. Plus they're just hard to find. But for Tiffany's more standard items (they make all Victoria earrings with the same stats/size/colour etc), it's so nice to be able to find one. I've bought so many things vintage from Tiffany's via ebay and saved so much! These earrings, my .42 DBTY necklace, my 36 inch DBTY Tiffany's necklace, a yellow gold open heart necklace... such great deals! I know I sometimes sell jewellery that I'm tired of so I know there are legit pieces out there...

... you do have to know your stuff though. I bought a VCA Fluerette necklace from a "trusted" seller with tons and tons of feedback, "brick and mortar" establishment... but I knew it was a replica b/c a) they sent a CARTIER COA (LOL - oops!) and b) when I had it appraised the diamonds weren't VCA quality. It was a lovely necklace, real gold and diamonds and super sparkly and actually valued at what I paid for it (half of VCA prices... so in other words it was like I bought a beautiful gold and diamond necklace for a fair price, but it was NOT authentic VCA)... so I returned it for a refund on principal. My biggest red flag should have been that he had several of this style in stock (seemed odd as it's not a very common design I don't think?) and it was very easy for him to find a yellow gold one and white gold one (he said he could "get one" - ie make one!!) for another TPF'er here... I should have known he was making them. It's a pretty easy design to replicate. So you do have to know your stuff... but if it works out, why not?!! :)

Happy hunting Candice!!! There are several smaller Victoria earrings on ebay right now...

I agree! That's why I've always had a hard time buying anything from Tiffany and paying full price, except I just bought a YG bead bracelet and YG bow earrings. If I can find it on eBay at 40% off it just makes sense to go that route.
Lots of Tiffany stuff is faked so you do have to do your homework and know who you are dealing with.
