SO Black Chevron Classic VS Reissue

I, like you, am a so black lover! I have the chevron reissue 225, jumbo in crumpled calfskin, mini in crumpled calfskin, and grained lambskin boy woc. Sooooo, point being- I would keep both! Different hardware (CC vs mademoiselle), different sizes (225 vs jumbo), different chain lengths, different leathers = different. If you have the time, would love to see a so black family picture!!

Wow Bentley, these are ALL incredibly beautiful bags & pics...major gorgeous eye candy & love your display of SLGs I’m going slightly against the majority here in saying I find them a bit too similar, like your SA says. I am ONLY speaking in terms of if it were me, I would not have both as I try to make my collection have differences BUT that is just me & if you truly love them both & finances do not weight into the decision, then by all means keep both. I would keep the reissue if i could only keep one (because i prefer them but also I do see a majority of CFs in your gorgeous collection so I think the reissue adds nice variety.) Best luck deciding!

So I have the SO Black Classic Chevron Lambskin ML Flap from a few years back. I absolutely love it!

I've always loved the SO Black Chevron Calfskin Reissue 225 as well & just got one from Saks when they came back for Prefall. I got it just before the increase that hit the SO Black Reissues last week, so paid $5300 vs. $5800 that they are now. (Yikes)!

My question is, are these too similar? My Saks SA even said she thinks they are too similar and wouldn't recommend I keep the Reissue. I just like that I can wear it crossbody & the Calfskin is more durable for daily use vs the Lambskin.

Seems like our tastes are exactly the same!! I would keep the reissue because I like the aged look it has versus the “cleaner” looking jumbo that you could definitely pair with different outfits depending on the day/event. I also have the so black grained lamb new medium boy, so black grained lamb woc that was same season, and the black iridescent mini with ruthenium that basically looks so black that was part of cruise last year. I’m obsessed with so black and would/will buy more of the so black items. It’s just my style and I love them! Super edgy!
