I haven't had that happen yet (knock wood) but I tend to make multiple knots. A drop of glue probably couldn't hurt. The thread I have is similar to fishing line but is quite a bit finer (we have a spool of fishing line I use for outdoor things) so it knots pretty well.

I will definitely be doing something like that. I would hesitate to put a drop of glue on the original ball chain but wouldn't mind putting glue on the thread.

Phew. I was able to purchase some but would have loved to get more than one of certain characters. I'll take what I can get. You know... Use one, keep one in the box. They'll be great as emergency gifts.
