I went to several Chanel boutiques stand alone and located within high end department stores and so far what I was told by various SA they have no information as to when or if these small vanity bags will be coming back in stock at least for the U.S. Chanel boutique on 57th street location this SA just recently mentioned to me that a pink bag was showing up for a location that still closed. I told him good luck on that item because its either sold or their system is not updated.

Yeah tbh I don't really think their system is updated, and understandably so, I suppose, given everything that is going on. Interestingly enough, I follow someone on IG who actually bought TWO of these bags (one black, one pink) in a Chanel boutique just a week & a half ago! She posted her receipt & is very legit, so I am positive that this actually happened. Basically she was posting it to say "Don't give up hope -- these bags are still floating around out there so you may be able to find one, despite them supposedly being sold out everywhere." It was a bit frustrating because she now has four small vanities (two in each color, black/pink) & there are so many of us who would love to have just one! But that is totally her prerogative & I don't blame her for seizing the opportunity since she was lucky enough to get them. (I also believe her first one or two were bought off IG at a premium, before she knew her SA would have them for her, so having multiple at least gives her the opportunity to make that premium $$$ she originally spent back, if she ends up deciding to sell.)

(And for anyone who is wondering -- no, she did not disclose which location she got them at or share her SA's info b/c she said she got the only two bags they had in stock so there would be no point in trying to have her SA track any others down -- the system says they're all sold out everywhere LOL.)

Also, my SA told me that during the closures stores were not transferring stock, so even if the system showed another location having this particular item, it is highly unlikely that the boutique that had it in stock would transfer it out ... I have an amazing SA & don't think she was telling me this to avoid the hassle; the closures & inventory issues have really kinda messed things up for everyone. My boutique is still closed & they haven't even received all their 20A stock yet, so she's not even 100% sure what will be available & in what quantities.

So all that to say ... I'm still holding out hope for finding one of these, but I think it's more likely I'll have to wait until the next time it's (hopefully) released. I think the trendy version that's coming out is cute but a bit flashy for my tastes & I'd prefer caviar ... Guess I'll hafta wait & see what happens!

Thanks for your information. It's just that I'm curious as to what SA's are taking pre- orders for items that's at least for the U.S. is nonexistent. One Chanel boutique location I saw where I was at on a waitlist and I told the SA dont bother putting my name down for that item.

I think the current deposits/pre-orders are for the lamb with gold plate (trendy vanity). I think the pics are available on Chanel website now - mini and small sizes. More expensive than the caviar version from last season as well.

I was actually very disappointed to find out that the caviar version from last season was completely sold out when I inquired at the boutique in February. Just checked the website today and the new lamb skin version is almost $1000 cad more...

Agree! It's cute, but it's a bit ... trendy (no pun intended, haha) for my tastes, I think? Basically it's a bit too flashy for me. I would also much rather have caviar than lambskin. I don't hate it, but I'm going to try not to let it grow on me & resist & hold out for them to (hopefully) bring back the original ones. Although part of me wonders if they realized what a great value those were & how in demand they are & decided to send them the way of the caviar square minis (aka discontinue b/c they were so affordable & popular & they want to make more of a profit & raise the bar of entry to Chanel goods). Who knows, haha!

Anyone in SG have news if there will be more of the small vanity case with classic chain coming back in stock? If so, could you please share the contact of your SA? Would really hope to get my hands on one. TIA!
