Small Love hoop earrings

My wife had this issue with the thicker posts years ago. She went to a piercing shop and had her piercings stretched to the next larger size and wore bead rings for a couple of months while they healed. Problem solved!
That’s great your wife had luck with that. I don’t have the patience or pain threshold to deal with that for 1 pair of earrings.

No, I don’t have the back on too tight. I could hardly get them in. I just got them yesterday, and I didn’t want to try sleeping with them. I did ask Cartier if there were complaints about the posts being too thick, but she said no. The closest boutique is 3.5 hrs from me, so I didn’t ask about changing out the posts. I’ve decided to return them and not worry about getting any earrings.
Thanks about Babs. She was a great pet and member of the family for 13 years!
Oh yeah? It seems like the post is too thick for your piercings. Returning them is definitely the best decision for you then!

How old are yr holes in yr ears. Mine fit ok when I tried them on. Getting them for my b'day in 2 weeks. yayy

I do have stretched holes.

What kind of earrings do u normally wear. Maybe try wearing heavier hoops or something to stretch them.

I’ve had my ears pierced for decades and only wear studs but do find I have a hard time with anything that weighs more which is why i suspect your ears hurt. Could be the post or a combo of the weight of the earring. I would just return as it sounds like you aren’t willing to let them stretch a bit.

I got my ears pierced 46 years ago. I usually wear hoops but nothing heavy.

Post. Believe you will like it. More comfortable than hoop due to the thinner posts
I’m back thinking about getting the love studs. You mentioned the posts are thinner than the hoops. Would you say the posts are ”standard” size? I looked up on a website that had all the different post sizes and it said 20 gauge is standard. Thanks for your help!

Sorry I don’t know what is standard - the only earrings I have are love studs, small love hoops, big love hoops. I actually love the studs more, compared to the small hoops. So much easier to put on (it took some time and a bit pain to put on the small hoops). And also the presence is bigger than the hoops in my opinion.

I guess I’m confused by harder to put on the hoops. The ones I’m talking about have a straight post- the small huggie style.

That is interesting that you think the Love studs have more presence than the small Love hoops.

I have the small Huggie Love earrings, now you’ve got me thinking about the studs.

It must have to do with them being 7.2 mm and appearing large on the ear. They are certainly a great staple pair of earrings to have no doubt!

yes mine is the huggie style. Harder for me because my ear holes are also too narrow. I have to push it through “wildly”. The post of studs are thinner therefore I have no problem with it - a very easy “slide into” mode. In terms of presence, yes, because the studs have a larger “concentrated” area, they get more recognition from my friends.

Gotcha. That gives me hope that the studs will work. I’ve talked to several SA’s at Cartier and say they don’t have any complaints with the hoops. I went ahead and ordered the studs overnight to see if they’ll work. I hope so. I’m really a hoop girl, but if the studs work, that will finish my Love collection!!

I’m thinking about ordering these today too. The YG Love studs as the hoops will drag my hole too much. Did you end up keeping them? I would like something I can totally forget is on! :)
