I just got the small Love hoop earrings. I like them, but they hurt my ears. I guess the posts are bigger than my piercing. Does anyone know if your ears get used to them or will I go through this every time I wear them?TIA

Yes, those are the ones. I’m really disappointed because I really like them. I called a piecing shop and they said to wear them for 6-8 weeks and then I should be fine. I don’t know if I can do that. My ears are red and irritated. I probably will just return them. Are you referring to these?
I have them, and don't find that they hurt my ears at all. I sleep and shower in them without any issues on a daily basis - don't even notice that they are there except when my hair gets caught on them occasionally! (LOL) That is unusual that they hurt your ears. You should probably return them.
(P.S. Is your cat a Ragdoll also? Looks like it is with the white chin. Mine is a blue-point, mitted Ragdoll - love him!)

I think Babs was a Ragdoll. We got her from the shelter when she was 1. We had to put her down almost 3 years ago. She was 13 and had a cancerous salivary gland. I still miss her.
Your cat is cute!! Thanks for replying.
I got them in rose gold, as is all my love pieces. I don’t have any irritation from my other pieces, so I assume it’s my piercing.Oh no, so sorry to hear about Babs!Babs looks like my boy.
Yea, it doesn't sound good to try to wear them for 6-8 weeks when your ear is all irritated already. Just one other question - did you get them in yellow gold or rose gold? Yellow gold is hypoallergenic; whereas, some people may be allergic to the copper in RG.
If not that, perhaps it's like you say, maybe your piercing is not as big.![]()
Is the post thinner or just the backs? I need a thinner post that goes through the piercing.I have both the mini hoop and studs. Maybe you can try the studs instead. Its back is thinner
Post. Believe you will like it. More comfortable than hoop due to the thinner postsIs the post thinner or just the backs? I need a thinner post that goes through the piercing.
I have these as well in YG! Are you maybe wearing them too tight against your ears? My ears are super sensitive, and sometimes that can cause issues for me. I’ll also add that sometimes it seems like I’m allergic to wearing any earrings at all, so once in a blue moon I go through a small period of wearing nothing in my ears to give them a break. Then I can eventually resume wearing earrings as usual. Maybe try not sleeping in them and see if that helps. I’d be surprised if the post is too thick because they are thin compared to platinum earrings I’ve had from Tiffany. Have you tried to ask Cartier if they could change the post to a thinner one? No, I don’t have the back on too tight. I could hardly get them in. I just got them yesterday, and I didn’t want to try sleeping with them. I did ask Cartier if there were complaints about the posts being too thick, but she said no. The closest boutique is 3.5 hrs from me, so I didn’t ask about changing out the posts. One more thing to add about the studs: the posts are straight, much easier than hoop when you try to push it through the ear.No, I don’t have the back on too tight. I could hardly get them in. Thanks about Babs. She was a great pet and member of the family for 13 years!
Thanks for the info. If I could try them on in person would be the best. I don’t want to exchange for the studs and have them not work and then have to sen them back too!One more thing to add about the studs: the posts are straight, much easier than hoop when you try to push it through the ear.
My wife had this issue with the thicker posts years ago. She went to a piercing shop and had her piercings stretched to the next larger size and wore bead rings for a couple of months while they healed. Problem solved!I just got the small Love hoop earrings. I like them, but they hurt my ears. I guess the posts are bigger than my piercing.
