I have the medium personally in vanilla. I think the small is very small. So depending on what you plan on using it for it could be a problem. Also keep in mind that the handles aren't very long in this collection mine only has a 5"D. The style of bag is lovely though, I had a hard time deciding but went with the size that was perfect for work school & going out. The medium holds a lot and doesn't get heavy fast.
I have two of these, in luggage and tan, and I LOVE the size. If you're also into LV, it's comparable in size to the neverfull pm. I'm able to carry it over my shoulder, on the crook of my arm, or handheld. I like that it has a bit of structure, yet still looks dainty and feminine. I purchased a zip up purse organizer, so the open top isn't really an issue for me. You're also able to fit an iPad or a small PC notebook, with room to spare. I like to carry this bag to the office, as it's a little more understated than my LV bags. If you're looking to get this tote, I'd suggest getting one with straps that aren't bent. I exchanged one because a crease at the top of one of the straps wouldn't go away. I'm a little OCD when it comes to that.
I thought about buying one of these from the apple store, as their version has a middle zipped pocket for iPad or MacBook, but I was worried that I would get one with bent straps, so I opted to buy them in person at Nordies and Macy's.Here's what I carry inside. I'm looking at this bag as well, I'm not sure if I want the small or medium. I don't carry much either so I'm kind of thinking that the small might be more for me. MK Logo Continental Wallet , smallish Stila cosmetic bag , small Coach wristlet for change and my iPhone. I hardly ever take my iPad with me unless it's an entire day out or traveling.

I haven't tried on the medium, but if the strap drop length is the same, and you don't need to carry much else I'd go with the small. The medium is nice, though. I just might get one someday. I absolutely love the color options MK has to offer. But for right now, I'm pretty content with my collection of bags. Now I'm looking into wallets and wristlets.

I ordered the medium this evening in Palm Green. I almost got a little iffy that the small might not get used as much just in case I might need to throw a couple extra things in it. I would rather have the room just in case ya know ?

I haven't seen this particular style in a large, but I haven't really looked for it in that size either. I think the medium is a good size, though. It's pretty spacious. If you haven't already done so, you should check it out in person.
